Its easy to make one up.. Movement will tear the module out? Warp drives cause it to go nova?

Never forget. Gameplay that is fun *first*. Make up lore to fit that narrative.

AKA the scientist.

Death and Glory!

Well fun is also good.

So when we've all installed this new shielding technology, shielding which is invulnerable to conventional weapons systems - out roles the Terran Super-Weapon which collapses shields against the thing they're protecting and is most effective against the strongest shielding...

This is the kind of problem you inevitably run into when you fiddle with solutions and lore that break the inner logic of system....

We're playing a space simulator with nearly literal FTL speeds, fluid physics in space, and missiles that don't explode on impact and you have the nerve to ask this?

This is Eve. Don't gotta explain ****, son.

Obviously, having a warp core on the same structure disrupts it. Duh.

Don't even need to worry about the Terran weapon.

We've all just willingly elected to install shield tech on our stations that Drifters' Entosis Links can break. As my earlier post said, The Other inside Empress Jamyl's head is clearly setting us all up for disaster.

Expect the Drifter's to trivially blow up a few high-sec stations using current shield tech sometime soon in order to provide the necessary lore-incentive for everyone to suddenly want to update to Jamyl's shields. Entosis Links will presumably look like a better vulnerability than total destruction at the hands of a few bored Drifter's that can insta-gib old-shield-tech-thingies.

But how do you know that an Entosis link isn't capable of shutting down the computers on a regular old fashioned POS?

The real cause for alarm should be the impending demise of Jamyl Sarum, to be replaced by Maximilian Singularity. Surprised no one has made that connection with The Imperium yet. We are his military arm now, and anything related to the Amarr emperor is also an Imperial __________.

Because I've seen Drifters attempting to Entosis my friends' POS several times, and nothing has happened! I'm sticking with my theory until I see proof otherwise. :P

That'd be interesting. It would make the Titan invulnerable to normal DPS, but the ship will blow up (or maybe just go to zero shield and zero armor) after being entosised for five minutes by anything. Perhaps make it a capital rig that can only be fitted when armor and hull are both 100% and shield is 80% or more, so that it cannot be fitted after battle has started.

The real cause for alarm is who is the woman in that video, and what have they done with coronation-video-Jamyl? Completely different facial bone structure, different eye color, no way it's the same person.

OOC - Why have they changed actresses? This isn't a sitcom.

That's what you would say. Those left-wind pinko's at Amarr Certified don't understand "Fare and Ballened" news like The Scope does.

Why do I get the feeling you don't have a clue what you just said? (calls the most conservative faction in the game "left-wind (wind, lel) pinkos.")

I'd like to think that would make the Titans vulnerable to an Entosis Link, too. P
