Sounds like the op is butt hurt he couldn't do it first.

The ligit ceo sent a mail saying he was a plant and this is how he did it. He then gives you advice and tips on moving forward. Yep I don't see the problem here.

I popped a heron the other day that was for a player 3 days old. He was to busy proving to see me come. I sent him a mail with a few tips and links so he doesn't lose another ship .

This is EVE we have official ads about scamming people.

HTFU.
Can I haz yur stuf?

Social Justice Warriors in space, doing for you what you wish they'd not do for you!

As I always explain to people, CODE (and Goons etc before them) ONLY EXIST BECAUSE OF YOU. If you would stop the f'ing whining , crying and complaining about them, if you would teach people to HTFU and ignore them, and to actually 'fly safe' not stupid, groups like that wouldn't even exist.

It reminds me of a conversation I had with a buddy a few years ago. We lived in null and we would fleet up and farm anomalies. Neutral types would come in and he's ALWAYS re-ship to fight them. He'd always die while complaining that no one would come help him except me (and I only did it because he is a personal friend lol, and because remote rep domis are cheap to lose lol).

I explained to him that the ONLY reason those guys come at us all the time was HIM. HE always gave them what they wanted (a fight) so when they wanted an ego boosting kill mail, where did they go? Straight to him. Which meant straight to the rest of us who were ratting. This is why you don't fight in your own ratting grounds. So I asked him to do an experiment, give us a week of not reshipping to fight those guys. It was like pulling teeth, but he did it. He was going on a business trip anyways.

The end result was that that specific crew came back a few times then we never saw them again. We saw other random neutrals of course, but never the same 3 guys that killed him a half a dozen times. Hell, they even ask for him by name in local the last time I saw them lol. Kudos to him because he wasn't afraid to fight and neither am I, but at some point doing that is stupidly counter productive.

Just like this thread. CODE FEEDS ON STUFF LIKE THIS. CCP isn't going to nerf them because CCP makes a sandbox game , they WANT people like CODE to exist because every good story needs antagonist forces. So the only result of this thread is more exposure for CODE. In fine Streisand Effect fashion, Elspeth Tezzeret just became a CODE agent.

I don't see how he's trying to make people quit. The initial mail gives several suggestions for other corps to join as these poor guys were abandoned by their CEO. Whats the issue?

Which.... is basically what CODE is really about, it's just a feeding ground to try and force people to Null.

This kind of paranoia would probably be best served with medication lol. CODE and groups like them don't give a flying flip about forcing people out of high sec, not only because it's not possible, but also because why would anyone chase away their main source of entertainment.

The belief that people (CODE, CCP or otherwise) "just want to force people out of high sec" is nothing more than self centered "I'm special so people care about what I do" paranoia and lies that some like to tell themselves to rationalize personal weakness. I've been in and out of null for 7 years and not once did I hear a single soul say "man, if only there was a way to get those carebears who are minding their business out of there and in to null where I can kill them!!"

Well done

It was very well executed. CODE is somewhat of a monster, but I think they like it that way.

As for themes, this is not a themepark game. ^_^

CODE is moderately terrible, yes, but they do provide a valuable service - they educate players about the harsh reality that is Eve, where your choices have consequences and can lead to actual loss within the game.

You may not like their antics, or the fanatical psuedo-religion, but the lessons they provide are valuable to actually retaining players in the long term. People that quit after failing to learn how to not get ganked weren't going to stay with Eve long term anyway.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

So, rather than be satisfied with CCP deciding to functionally ban proper awoxing, you're on here to complain that people are allowed to join your corp with any ill intent at all, and trying to get them banned.

This is the kind of thing you can only post on an NPC alt.

This **** is hilarious when you consider the AWOX was essentially : "You guys are in a shithole so for the cost of a few ships, we will give you guideline of where you should go to get a better experience."

If it was an AWOX for tears I'd understand being mad even if it's over pixels but FFS they just got shown their corp was a shitheap and given advice.

How can someone be unhappy about that?

GRRRRR CODE. giving people advices...

You have no such permission. All you have is some kind of blanket "give me a full API" policy that lets you fish through other people's private conversations. Corp membership is held as hostage until someone forks over an API. What's worse is your utter lack of discretion as seen in you posting other people's mail in GD, likely without their permission or knowledge. Shame on you. You are the not the kind of person anyone should want to get their hands on a Mail API.

Remove creepy mail spying from EVE. Delete mail API so recruiters can no longer ask for it.

This particular recruiter can't even help themselves and wants to post all your private communications out into the world.

And this is new(s), how?

Before code this happened. When code is gone and barely remembered it will still happen.

I find it even somewhat commendable for the awoxer to explain what went wrong and what a few of the many options are for those now ex-corp members.

Sums it up perfectly.

If in fact that this mail was dissimmenated by the author, then it constitutes a violation of privacy beyond the doubt, and that those who read are in fact violating the laws of privacy.

Since CODE is in my opinion a very flagrant violator of such acts then I believe that CCP is entirely responsible for this and should be notated as such. I am of the opinion that even the poster has violated privacy laws by posting such communique on a public forum information not meant for public opinions.

Sounds to me like someone wants to take out the "multiplayer" part of online multiplayer. CODEdot does some amazing role playing and some really fun work in highsec.

I'll never get over how many people ***** and whine about the New Order. They really are doing a good thing for AFK/bot players. It's all wrapped up in a super fun messianic religion roleplay. What's not to love?

I have a missioning permit from the hand of James 315 himself. Why? Because this is a game and that made it pretty fun for me. Awoxing your carebear, hightax, newbro abusing corp was the best thing that could have happened to those players. Now they'll see what true leadership is.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Want to make New Eden a nice place? Try this out.

I hate CODE, beyond belief, for the simple fact that they are trying to force a specific type of gameplay on people, in a "true" sandbox game.
That being said, it would not be a "true" sandbox, if they could not do this, so theres the dilemma :)

Gotten ganked several times by those bastards, and every single time a smug starts a convo and tries to force James315's belief on me, like the medieval catholic church during the inquisition, while requiring payment for a false sense of security.

I truly hate you people, but it would not be the same without you, dont leave, you have every right to do what you do and people would cry no matter what!!

But i already have a prophet, PRAISE BOB!!!
