I am definitely not new to PVP, i dont have the killmails to prove it but i tend to do anything and everything missiles. I am very new to hybrid guns and after scouring the internet on PVP battleships, they dont really seem to exists that much. They are mainly used for PVE. You would figure that battleships would be used to defend a nullsec system against cruiser fleets but the trueth i think is that PVP ships really tend to end with cruisers. Apparently the class sux except for Gallente hulls, Armageddon, and a few faction Battleships(mostly Gallente based).



The class doesn't suck you're just bad at the game. The Rokh is one of the few battleships that isn't truly terrible, but doesn't have the slot layout for a proper mix of tank/dps/tracking for anything remotely solo. Even with that it does and has appeared in doctrines.Alpha Fleet, Pipe Bombing Newbie Incursion fittings. You can also do terribly fun things like this and catch some people off gaurd

502 dps but you have to downgrade a fair bit and really its not that much more of a punch.


Yes there are ships that are better at pve or pvp but sometimes its fun just destroying someone with a good troll fit.

Whats even funnier in the 2 minutes it took me to put those together I looking over my pyfa and realized there isnt a single battleship in the game I don't have at least 1 fit for.

Doesn't matter if its a pvp, pve or a lol fit like those. So obviously your doing something wrong if you think the entire class and line suck.

Other then the slow warp times(remind to kick Fozzie in the nuts if I ever meet him) They are designed from the ground up to be potentially punishing platforms.



Fleet fits hit 180k ehp on average(I low balled it. Some get more some get less)

Fleet fits generally push out at least 500 dps out to 120-140km(Again lowballed because of the variable doctrines)

Good PVE fits tank just enough to survive and can pump out up to 800-1000 dps. (T1 Ships, Obviously the Faction/Navy you can milk more)(Showing 900 on the drone/cruise geddon that would tank Forsaken Hubs pretty easily approx 70-90m/ hr)


So honestly I have no clue what your gripe is about battleships? You shouldn't even be considering one until your at 8m sp.(still pretty low) and most of the skills for it will help with other ships be it hacs/ T3s/ Recons/ Carriers/Dreads/ other Battleships.

The only skills for battleships that only affect a certain ship is the Racial Skill and the corresponding weapon systems. Considering you can mix and match races with weapons to a point even those arent truly wasted skills.

Kinda a mixture between Baltec1's Ideas and a few of mine. What you have here is 611 dps if you can catch something in web scram range. T2 rigs arent that expensive and your already looking at 200+m for the hull. Its also about the best you will be able to track anything considering the hull has no cooked in tracking bonuses. Also while your dps is better then the RHML fit your engagement range is greatly reduced. Again considering the cooked in hull bonuses(No damage/Tracking) You can do just about anything with it.

side note.. If I were to go out soling in a battleship at a minimum I would have 3% hardwirings for my weapon system Again maybe a 50m investment that would allow me to hit/track harder.

Some serious reading comprehension going on here. Literally each pilot older than six months giving you arguments why battleships are good, needed, necessary for certain situations, or generally superior to any T1 cruiser in a 1v1, yet you fail to interpret the input on such a massive scale it's simply amazing.
