World News
The Scope – Amarr Empire releases new technology
On behalf of the Amarr Empress Jamyl Sarum, new shield technology has been developed and deployed by the Amarr Empire. As this new shielding technology is CONCORD tech, CONCORD was infuriated when the Amarr Empire announced that this technology is going to be handed to capsuleers. Speculations run high that this is a desperate move to fence off Drifters. Jamyl Sarum also urged capsuleers to stop their nullsec wars and to unite their support for the Empire.

New Carnyx bracket icons
The player Darkblad has compiled a list of the new bracket icons (ships and drones, other entities) available as CSS Sprites. This might be especially useful for web designers. Thank you!

Did developers stopped communicating?
While it is easy to get concerned or worried that developers have stopped talking with the players, often the explanation is quite simple. Devs are made of flesh and blood (most of them at least) and thus have also weekends when...

A decision needs to be made about fairness to those who cannot watch every podcast and video. They don't make it into this report and are floods of information not public in another format yet.

I am fine with it as I have an army to watch. The average player.. not so much.

Almost too late to say thanks again to CCP Phantom \o/

Edit#1: The CSS Sprite collection of the new brackets is a bit more viewer friendly now. And they can also be sorted/filtered.

Hi Aryth, such feedback is always valuable and important. It would be great if you would have some examples at hand to examine the details a bit more, thank you!

The most recent example is a perfect one. The EVENEWS24 May28th podcast with CCP Nullarbor and CCP Ytterbium. I would never have seen it myself if a channel of 450 dudes on our jabber hadn't mentioned it as I don't read that site.

They discuss quite a long list of things that were never fleshed out in blogs and even drop new things. Like single fuel block type etc. These types of information are valuable and important. I realize they might not immediately appear that way but they are.

Edit: fixed date. Was 28th not 29th.

I agree. Maybe a thread where appearances can be listed would be adequate. If one of the devs makes an appearance perhaps they could either post to a dev-only sticky or let Falcon know (who will then post). We don't need a summary because that's too much work. But an indication that they have 'appeared' somewhere would be good.

Just a brief summary of their appearance and topics discussed maybe. People won't expect cliff notes just the ability to stay informed from one "official" place. Your writeups are the closest thing there is to that.

Except that this is the one and only instance that they didn't stop responding after the first day or two. For example, take the Icon Changes feedback thread, find a dev response in the last couple of weeks, or the SKINs thread, if you can find a dev response past the first day or two that doesn't just repeat an answer that was already posted in the devblog then I will concede they do actually keep up with feedback threads they start. And those are just two of the plentiful examples of things that were still needing considerable work and had a good amount of very constructive feedback for necessary changes that were completely ignored as if they never asked for feedback to begin with.

Worst off still is the complete lack of dev responses to the feedback for weeks and then the sudden announcement that the change is going live in a couple of days with no alterations based on the feedback. Yes, I understand they might be reading, and may even be taking notes or making changes based on that feedback. But experience tells all of us that just simply isn't true 95% of the time, any hope of it being a discussion or opportunity for feedback to make a difference is gone the moment the devs stop responding.

A general overview of CCP performances on video's would be great, theme based that is. I am not following most blogs / news sites due to the amazing overkill over null sec "content". I am not into that at all. But the general game changes happening in null due to DEV work affect not just null. That's why I really want to know what discussed where. So I can choose to tune in when needed.
