The descent of WOW continues. No lost here,... never played it.
After 11 years, 'World of Warcrack' is less addictive
Wait a minute, thought is was EverCrack, not World of WarCrack. Big smile

Well, they kind of broke the character models they claimed would be even better than the old ones.
They sure are pretty, to bad that every single one of them suffer from massive armor clipping, bugged animations and very inconsistant weapon sizes.

Who would want to play a game where they can't even keep the character models you play with free from bugs?
Aside from the login screen, they are the first thing you see, and if the first thing you see is several bugs and then have to live with said bugs for the entire time you have your character, how likely are you to keep playing?
You'd keep wondering "What else is bugged in this game?", to which I can say, A LOT of things.

Maybe if Blizzard would fix the bugs and flaws with the game instead of ignoring them, they'd keep more players... Oh, and fix up Stormwind, the Park is still a crater.

I miss having ISK.

Black Desert character selection

lol. But to be fair, I don't find Black Desert's general aesthetic to be as repulsive as that of Blizzard games.

I think I'll enter Blizzard's new art contest thingamajig they have going on through deviant art at the moment. Should be an interesting challenge, trying to paint in a style and sensibility that makes me throw up in my mouth.

Oh shut the hell up

I have played wow since before the MMO and will continue to play it no matter what.

You're just another jerk attempting to compare a space mmo to a fantasy mmo, you're a fool.

You keep these stupid posts about Blizzard & WoW like it matters, like you matter, feck you.

We don't even have over 750k subs, they have Millions, u know why? Because unlike CCP, they arn't stupid and don't let a tiny majoirty of players (i.e null sec nob heads) control the game.

I will never quit wow, i have level 100's of all classes. It's a bloody great game and the majoirty of "haters" just dislike WoW for one reason and one reason only.

You cannot destroy what others build and you cannot control the AH or control the PVP sway, because you're controlling people, horrible excuses for humans simply because you feel you have a right to ruin some ones day and collect "tears".

Grow up, seriously, grow up

WoW is the india of the MMO world. Lots of people but not much quality.

WoW is imploding, we don't say this out of spite but just as a fact and when you bleed a few million in so little time there is something very wrong with the game. They have made all the same mistakes as SWG made.

Bs mate, pure bs, the game has players in the MILLIONS, so loose a few mil in subs, who cares, its standard for them, next expansion or raid update, they all come back, it happens non stop, i should know.

It's not imploding and bitter eve players have been saying "wow is dieing" for years and o look, here it is, still going strong

It has been dying for years, just not this fast. Nobody can lose a few million subs and shrug it off as nothing, thats £26 million less in revenue a month in the span of just three months and its the single biggest drop in its history. The game has lost a little over 5 million subscribers in the last 3 years in a downward trend that is accelerating.

This isn't a standard up and down trend and they are not coming back.

It looks to me like they're trying to put a lot of horses back in the barn.

They're finally getting serious about botting, which will **** a lot of people off just because WoW has largely become a grind. A lot of WoW's mechanical choices make botting a highly attractive option.

Botting, flying and power-leveling all reduce immersion, and therefor retention. People who treat the vast bulk of your content as an obstacle to get past don't care about your game that much anymore.

I understand the flying nerf. Slaving over a whole bunch of new content so that you can watch some chucklehead fly over it all the next day and land right on the payoff has to be frustrating, not to mention that you don't run into players. Now, someone pointed out some changes Blizzard could have made to bring flying into what is essentially 2D gameplay, and that raises the point that Blizzard has decided not to overhaul the engine that way. That's effectively an acknowledgement that the game is at the maintenance stage. tt might have years more left in it, but there will be no major engine updates and probably no overhauls of the oldest assets in the game, either.

The new characters are well done in the WoW style, but I've seen a lot of grousing about how it's difficult to identify with a completely different character, often with a completely different facial expression. That's yet another loss of investment in the game.

And, of course, the ur-problem underlying botting, flying and power-leveling is that the content is trivial, predictable and not especially rewarding, though the lore can be toothsome if you stop to pay attention to it.

So not only did the game become more boring, but because they decided not to enable flying in the new expansion areas the very process of navigating the gameworld to get your chores done became so annoying that people don't even bother to leave their instanced garrison.

The ground navigation is easier than ever, players just spend so little time in an area that their travel time as a fraction of total time is at an all-time high. If Blizzard would stop handing everything out and actually require players to spend some time to get the things they want, it would feel a lot more rewarding, and you could spend a much smaller fraction of your time in transit.

But yes, WoW developers should absolutely be fired.

Or rather, players achieve everything so quickly that there's nothing left to do after a week of heavy playing but grind bot-work till the next expansion and hang out in trade chat. WoW used to be far more grindy. Bots are only prevalent now because everyone finishes content too quickly. If they kept the Cataclysm style of interactive and complex question areas but made leveling and gearing far slower like the old days, they could keep people occupied up to the next expansion while thwarting bots by making human play far superior in terms of output.

No kidding. It doesn't take Rocket Science V to realize Blizzard just unleashed an army of 3 million zombies to eat up the last of the non-wow-clone-holdouts with chants of "give us WoW features here naow". Chances are it's Blizzards master plan to destroy all competing remaining mmo's once and for all after they unleash their next true Blizzard fanboi WoW expansion leaving the industry in complete shambles and no where to turn but to them.
