I would only consider polarized weapons on shield brick tanked marauders.(i.e Golem/Vargur). Having the needed armor tank for level 4s with polarized weapons would steal too many low slots. But for poops and giggles, here's some eft warrioring:

[Vargur, ihazpolarized]
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Republic Fleet Gyrostabilizer
Gyrostabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II

Pith X-Type Shield Boost Amplifier
Gist X-Type X-Large Shield Booster
Gist X-Type 100MN Microwarpdrive
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script

Bastion Module I

[empty high slot]

Large Projectile Collision Accelerator II
Large Projectile Ambit Extension I

All 5 Stats with full high-grade(omega included), +6% fall off, +6% cap, +6% dmg and +6% turret....cause..why not.

1380 omni-tank(lulz) for 4m 43s with everything but MWD running.

1017 m/s with MWD and stable at 54% with nothing else running.

Boosting shields + MWD = 2m 50s cap time.

1603 dps,3.8+49 with Hail and optimal range script.
1437 dps, 3.8+66 with Republic EM and optimal range script.
1145 dps, 7.6+92 Barrage and optimal range script.

No drones included. You could replace the tracking enhance for a DDA for a minimal loss in range for. eeh? drone dps.

[Golem, lulzalpha]
Ballistic Control System II
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

Gist X-Type X-Large Shield Booster
Pith X-Type Shield Boost Amplifier
Republic Fleet Target Painter

Large Hydraulic Bay Thrusters II
Large Hydraulic Bay Thrusters II

Stats include, full crystal + omega, 6% missile projection, +6 guided missile precision, +6 target nav prediction, +6 rapid launch.(for the lulz!)

1102 omni-tank with 3m 36s everything running but MWD.
48% cap stable with only MWD.
2m 39s with boosting and mwd running.

1661 dps, 43.9 range and 545.67 Explosion Radius/121.237 explosion velocity ..with Rage The 4 painters actually let you apply very well against Battleships and BattleCruisers.
1413 dps, 52.6 range and 317.25 Explosion Radius/141.113 explosion velocity.

My theory was correct...for the Paladin/Kronos, I had to go into triple rep territory to get a similar tank and it just wasn't happening to have any dps/cap life worth mentioning.

TL:DR.

For Polarized weapons: Vargur > Golem, that's it. Don't even look at armor tanked Marauders nor consider shield tanking them. The lack of bonus just doesn't work.

Be prepared to spend atleast ~2.5 billion in implants(full high-grade is pretty mandatory) and hull. Not..worth...it.........at....all...................well...unless you're bored and wanted to do missioning by the seat of your pants. Pretty sure Showtime/Blockade/Worlds Collide rooms 2/3 would make your butt pucker like you wouldn't believe.

These fits above are tried and tested and very solid, thanks for the great informative post, Amanda. Hope this helps out any new mission runners wanting to try out Polarized weapons, I highly recommend it. Also don't be shy to throw down some officer damage mods in there, the dps increase is well worth it.

Polarized weapons are an excellent choice for L4 missions. However to get the most out of it you should also be using officer damage mods and preferably officer tracking enhancer/computers as well. To make up for the lack of resists you can just go lots of cap recharge with multiple officer/deadspace reps. To be honest you won't need much tank since you're doing so much dps, stuff will just die. If you want specific fits message me in-game and I'd be glad to help.

Confirm.
Just put your pefrect build here.

I watched a fairly recent video today of a polarized Paladin with dual reppers doing a lvl4 Blockade against Blood Raiders with no issues in 14 minutes. As the gentlemen who posted just below you subtly pointed out, putting 2 billion in fittings on a 30k EHP missioning ship might not be advisable.

I suppose the Not..worth..it.......At....all........ part is elusive and hard to see in my post.Lol. As for the paladin doing a mission without issue, that's really not the point. If there is no advantage using the polarized weapon system over a tech 2 system what would be the point? Other then proof of concept or a challenge?
