Hello guys. I hope I chose the correct forum, didn't know where else to advertise this.

Two days ago I met someone in the game who decided he was quitting EVE. He had been playing since 2005 and had tried out pretty much everything this game has to offer. He was fairly certain he wasn't coming back to EVE, but he didn't know what to do with his ISK and assets. He could dish it out to friends, he could keep it, but I had a great idea where this ISK and assets can go.

Bittervet to Newbro Inheritage Programme

So how it works is that for those who are looking to leave the game, and do not want/need their ISK or assets, can have it donated into a pool of ISK and assets (and those assets will most likely be liquified and added to a greater pool of ISK), and then will be redistributed out to the newbros. This will give the FNGs the chance to have a great headstart from the get-go. Remember when you first started playing the game, and someone donated to you 10 mil? If this could be an opportunity to as many new players as possible, that would make new players less likely to wash out in the first month. That would increase the population of this game, also.

I'm one of those who believe that this game can be harsh at square one. This is why people wash out from this game; they look at the cool eye-opening trailers (which is how I got lured into this game), start playing and find out things are really slow and difficult at first, and just can't commit to the game. While I think this is not a game for that crowd, I do believe that players need to have a better feel of the game at first.

The main bottleneck I see here is that when people try doing this, people say 'if it's too good to be true, it's a scam', and all of the good ideas get pushed under the rug, because of the risk involved, which is why I will be offering to email or EVE mail convos, transactions etc, that will show where exactly the ISK is going. I still need to work on how exactly I'm going to do this, but I will give out as much evidence I need to prove this scheme is legit.

It would also be awesome for players who still wish to play the game who would be willing to donate towards this. Dishouts to new players won't be massive (can't make things too easy), so every little counts :)

If you're interested at all in helping out in this, please send me a message in-game, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. If you're willing to send ISK directly for this then please send it to this char. If you're not willing to donate and you'd still like to help out for this, please spread the word.

Thanks guys, Fly safe o7

Why wouldn't I just send my ISK directly to a newbro?

Did you know that making your first thread in GD doesn't automatically turn you into Chribba UAE?

Edit: I had to correct my statement because OP is about getting stuff.

Not trying to be Chribba, just trying out an idea. I think it would be pretty cool.

And I'm pretty sure this isn't my first thread in GD.

Any newbro that wants to learn anything or needs help reaching their goals is welcome to come to me.

I disagre with giving handouts, its an easy way to make someone bored or lazy.

Hmmmm. No, I don't remember. What I do remember is exploring what the game has to offer, getting frigates handed out by the starter agents left right and center, earning more than enough to replace these ships in less than an hour.

I do believe the game is not too harsh. However, inflation is a problem, devalueing the little isk newbros earn in the beginning. Now one of the best ways to fight inflation and high plex prices is bittervets leaving the game without distributing the assets they accumulated during the years. In essence a leaving player could help a single or a few players by handing over his possessions or he could help the entire population (and ccp) in trashing his stuff. Now for some OT regarding OP's forum posting stats (as OP seemed wondering about that ones). Yes this is actually the first thread she posted in GD, and really at the time of this post also the 3 post made before this post is the only posts in GD (not including the ones coming after mine).

Here's the breakdown: http://eve-search.com/stats/Wills_Trading_ALT

And now on to the on-topic, your idea sounds like what Sindel has been running through her Angel Project for some years.

No I don't. Efforts to get those 10 mill, and the 10 after, and the 10 after, is what kept me here.

Good. Let those go find their own legit fun elsewhere. A crutch won't help them.

Like what ? A wallet-API webpage ? Some screenshots ? Mail cut-pastes ? Through your unnamed trading alt ?

Come on.

Here comes a time, ganker,

When blingfits cease to sparkle,

When hermophite looses its luster,

When the station hangar becomes a prison

And all that is left is a capsuleer's love for his fedo.

Surely scams in GD have some sort of minimum crapness threshold to exceed? Besides, newbies these days can just sell a plex and have tons of cash for frigate escapades. It's not like the old days.

And if you are going to leave, you could always give your stuff to Chribba for use in the next 'Plex for Good' initiative.

I don't think it's a blood sacrifice - in my mind it's more like a procession of fedos encircling a small piece of veldspar, humming (tunelessly as they do) then you imitate the call of the mining laser repeatedly walking round the piece of veldspar faster and faster, and then all the fedos and you jump on the piece of veldspar and cry out "Chribba!" and hopefully he appears before you like the omniscient, omnipotent demi-God that he is.

I'm not sure the fedos are an necessity but they make it more enjoyable.

@ OP - I'm pretty sure you mean inheritance...not "inheritage." Also, having taken a look at the tutorials/opportunities sticky on the EVE New Citizens Q&A recently, I'm not sure it's ISK our newbro friends need...

Is this a scam to get the isk'ies from the "old bittervet" ?

Also if that guy does not know someone to give his assets to, in all the time he played, well then he is poor anyway.

I think thats a bad idea:

To much isk at the beginning makes you loose your sense of value of isk and the prices of ships and equipment.
