Not Sure What to Fly Anymore

With all of the weapon balance changes over the last year for the medium ships, I am not even remotely sure what to fly anymore in Wormholes. I just lost a Tengu from a squad gank but before loosing it, it didn't feel as impactful in the C2 as my previous C2 nights. But, it's shields felt stronger (I use Adaptive Shielding subsystem in WH space). Since I wasn't clearing as fast as usual, I have to wonder.. what else is there to fly in a Wormhole? I've taken looks at Damnation and Sacrilege, even Nighthawk, but the only way to make them even half decent (Damnation being incredibly disappointing), is with HAMs instead of HMLs... and since quite a few sleepers like to shoot farther than 17km, no, thanks.

I know Drone ships are a bad idea, since they'll chew them apart in seconds. I have not looked at Legion yet. Instead of wasting more time with fits, I thought I'd post.

Talking pve, if you want cheap and effective a duel rep harbinger or passive shield heavy missle drake works well. I dont have experience with it but i heard a nice mid grade ship is the gila (gotta watch your drones). Fast but somewhat expensive you want the ham tengu or ham legion.

If youre talking C2 PVE specifically, basically anything BC and upwards works.

Hell a LSE Svipul used to run C2 sites. at the end of the day find a ship that gives you wowzers in your trousers and just give it a go.

Command ships. Abso is extremely versatile, but I personally love the Astarte and vulture for pvp. I don't have the minmatar skill (cause i was an idiot and didn't have the cruiser skill book injected derp), but I hear sleips are amazing as well.

You can fly about anything with drones and a passive shield tank solo for c3 and down. Warp in, drop depot, start pretending you're a capital and refit SPRs/DDAs and other things.

The smartest way though to run c2 sites is a confessor. It's among the faster choices to run sites with some 480dpd close up, and sigtank having you take no damage most of the time with the exception of the occasional wrecking shot coming in (careful, that's suddenly 1k damage).

Battlecruisers are your best bet if you want to keep the cost down. I've seen passive tank drakes the most.

Passive Rook. Sure, your DPS is pathetic, but no one will ever know...

I'm not sure why everyone is lying to you. The reason you're tengu didn't perform like should was because you needed faction BCU's. That and course deadspace shield hardeners and officer's launchers. Then will your tengu be ready to really clear those sights.

Also what is your jsig and nearest kspace entrance?

Hah. Good one. Already regret leaving the medium Pithum B booster on there, gods forbid billions on ds hardeners. Usually use a large shield booster II.

As for the responses, I've done drake- good gods slow clearing - but so far the Absolution, Vulture and Sleipnir are the ones to check out what I can do with; maybe dual rep Harbinger. Gila is still tempting, as well. It's less a price issue, and more a "if I'm going to spend the ISK it better be good".

Have you tried a HAM Tengu before you switch ships? I can get 55km with Javelins and mediocre skills.
