Sure, the game's playable, but it's no challenge, and not a whole lot of fun.

CCP would have the ability to decide what players could change about each ship. Your assumptions are really really dumb.

- Own a quality PC
- Stay out of Jita
- Keep settings on low if you have to

Not helpful if you are lagging because the server is struggling to send your client all the info it needs to load grid like every single variation of ships currently present.

I know I'm not one that should be pointing out people trolling, but this guy doesn't even try to hide it. Everyone in thread disagrees with him, but it's because of us, not because of him.

Here's one.

On a Punisher hull, you could modify the ship to be able to have a 3-mid-slot, 3-low-slot layout instead of the current 2-mid-slot, 4-low-slot layout. And you could switch back and forth in the Ship Editor whenever you wanted.

This is just one example yet already you can see that it would actually ADD more balance to the game by making an otherwise mediocre ship more versatile and subsequently more dangerous.

So, punisher now goes from 4/2/4 to 4/3/3 as a standard layout as it can now ft the standard 3 slot tackle+prop mid setup, while maintaining fairly high damage or tank with added range control, or turns into a cap booster + long point + prop kiter, just like everything else with 3 mids. Yey for being able to instantly homogenize everything now, and absolutely breaking some ships which need one slot moved to be absolutely break everything.

Punisher would become a usable ship. As it is currently it is one of the worst tech 1 combat frigates

Explain how adding more fitting variations is the same as homogenizing everything.
