I am Selena Lianar. You probably don't know me. Few do. Even those who do, know little about me. This is my story.

My parents were slaves to an Amarrian family, I don't know who they are or were. All of my biological family could be dead for all I know. At this point, all I have is myself, and those I deem worthy enough to earn my trust. Friends have come and friends have gone, but one thing remains, I survive.

After I was smuggled out of the dark grasp of Amarrian religious slavery by persons unknown to me, I was raised by my foster family, Lianar. I was raised as a Minmatar child, but I am NOT a Minmatar woman. My foster parents wee kind and loving, I grew up knowing of the cruel and sadistic ways of the holier-then-thou Amarrians, they were sick. Covering their disgusting and appalling traditions behind a thinly veiled guise of Religious Authority. It's despicable. As I grew, I always looked up. To become something great, to become something that Amarrians feared. From the stars came my answer.

Around the age of 14, a capsuleer visited our family. Apparently he was some old friend of the Lianars'. For the entire three days he stayed with us, I never left his side. He would tell me stories of space. Huge space battles and solo pirates. Gargantuan industrial empires spanning light-years of what I could see in the sky. Space was no final frontier, but in the vastness of the dark empty void, there was freedom. Freedom to do whatever it was you pleased. No traditions of bloodline to follow in, no rules that you had no say in. No, space was a land of neutral territory in which anyone could pave their own highway to their goals. So I decided then, I would become a capsuleer.

Our visitor, seeing my extensive interest in the life he lived, spoke with an old friend at the Republic Military School. A few months later I received word that I had been offered a seat at the school program to become a capsuleer. All costs were paid, I just had to attend. Within a few months I was quick on my way to becoming the woman I have grown into.

One month and four days before my 21st birthday, I graduated. I had finally reached the first step in my long term goal, the capsizing of the Amarrian plague. Upon being granted my papers officially designating me as a capsuleer of the Minmatar republic, I received a message from a familiar face.

Congratulations on your success. Next time you hear from me, will be when your ready to accomplish your goals.

My benefactor and childhood hero, but what could he possibly mean by that message? I sent many replies, but never heard a word back from him. So I set my own course. That course has been winding and sometimes counter-productive, but it has led me forwards nonetheless.
