Hi all;

I created a courier contract on an alt for my my main to fulfill. My main accepted it. Because I forgot some items in it and the trip was far, I had my main fail it. Seems pretty simple.

Issue is now I can't delete the contract so I can make a new one. "You cannot perform this action on a contract that is not Outstanding."

My main can't use the items, my alt can't delete the contract. For now, 1.1b is in a box that neither of my characters can access. I have to be not seeing something simple. Its between my own characters so there isn't any crime. Please help!

Thanks!

I am not sure I understand the problem, but I'll try. It sounds like your main voided the contract, so now it does not exist. Your main should have the cargo items in his item hangar. If another player's character had done this he would have effectively stolen the cargo from you, which is why you normally set a collateral value on courier contracts. I imagine you didn't set a collateral on a contract with an alt, but if you did the collateral isk should have been paid from your main's wallet to your alt's wallet.

Anyway, your main should be able to simply grab the items and haul them. When he gets to the destination set up an item exchange contract to your alt to give them back. If your main is no longer at the location you can use your assets window to set up an item exchange contract to give the items back to your alt without having to physically return.

Once a courier contract is failed, it is complete. Done. Over. No re-do.

The items should still be on the main (the character that accepted the courier contract), somewhere in inventory or deliveries.

Note that failing contracts looks pretty bad when others look at your contracts, as they don't know that it was to an alt.
