Matar Ronin, I highly doubt the truth of your words, but are welcome to come and try and push Pyre out of Metropolis by force, if you are dead set on having such a hostile position.

Me and Evi went out for drinks just the other night, we had a good time, I laughed, I cryed, and enjoyed the company of my good friend. At no point did she try to coerce me to do anything. So it worked out wonderfully, if you try not to judge others by what flags they wave, turns out you are usually pleasantly surprised.

I think you're a very nice person, all in all.

What flag you fly does matter. Those you call friends are slavers committing an act of terrorism against the Matari people. They fly under the flag of the Amarr and they kill Matari. Not only do you do nothing to stop them, you call them "friend" and make excuses for their atrocities.

Being a "nice person" is all groovy. But you're still an accomplice. You still give aid and comfort to the enemies of the Matari and the Republic. You know full well this "emergency" is make-believe and when we talked you did not deny it.

Matari is about tribe. Looks like you chose your tribe and it ain't us.

Sansha sycophant and Amarr militia member offers help to the Republic, then acts all surprised when most aren't as keen to support her "humanitarian" efforts.

I wasn't expecting much of a PR competence from a ragtag circus like PYRE, but this is just Scope-comedy-hour level material.

I'm not a fan of the Republican cause, as most people know, but not accepting gifts from Nation sycophants is not a matter of advice or choice - it's merely common sense.

Keep using that word dear. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

It may not mean what she thinks it means but it is still referring to the only empire avidly promoting slavery.

Fortunately we're not the empire, then. Once people understand what mercenary means, we can avoid a lot of this unnecessary drama.

Actually, Sansha's Nation is a big promoter of slavery and Kuvakei seems to think he's an Empire.

mer·ce·nar·y (mûr′sə-nĕr′ē)
adj.
1. Motivated solely by a desire for monetary or material gain.
2. Hired for service in a foreign army.
n. pl. mer·ce·nar·ies
1. One who serves or works merely for monetary gain; a hireling.
2. A professional soldier hired for service in a foreign army.

Ergo, you work for the Amarr Empire and receive payment for services rendered. Mercs traditionally do the things the Empire doesn't want to do publicly, or can't be bothered to do.

Would you be so brave as to tell me exactly were you are based or do I have to hunt you heroes down?

I will not fire upon Pilot Tuulinen because I find it hard to believe he was involved in any treachery, however any other of your pilots with a sec status that enables me to fire upon them should be forewarned. Any who wish to destroy me need simply issue a challenge to a duel and we can do that until you tire of losing ships or wasting ammo blasting mine, either way you'll be less harmful to Matari freedom if you are engaged with me.

Your move.

Talk to Vincent, I'm not your boss.

And be grateful of that.

Station - Lasleinur VI - Moon 15 - Kaalakiota Corporation Factory. We eagerly await your arrival in a cloaky stabbed frigate for you to taunt us in the local relay channel, accomplish nothing, and then run away and declare victory.

In more serious and related news, I would like to give a status update.

Response has been massively more than originally anticipated with the following people/organizations contributing the bulk of the goods we have received.

The Yaken Clan
Deitra Vess of Scope Works
Valentina De La Mancha of Pyre Falcon
Kithrus of House Crases representing the Aegis Militia

With that being said, we have more materials and supplies donated than we can reasonably distribute at the moment. Also either due to the attacks or due to this Public Aid deployment, local charities have been seen swinging in to action and picking up the slack on more local levels. Especially considering the amount of derailment certain Minmatar personalities have been pushing in this thread, I think this is a good place to end this phase of the deployment. Distribution of materials will continue, but donations will no longer be accepted.

I must also remind people of the human condition. We see suffering in the world around us but we turn a blind eye to it unless there is a big campaign to end it. People want to give to a massive charity and they feel they've done their part, and they go on and walk down the street ignoring the poor or the homeless because they just donated, they feel like they've done their part.

Don't wait for a charity. Don't wait for a movement. Do the small things. Do the large things. Do things on your own, because it takes action to end suffering in the world. You are the tool by which we can build a better world. I'm not even talking about my own political views, any better world is better than the one we're in (by definiton if nothing else). I encourage people to take steps on their own to help their fellow man.

Thank you for the work you have done here. Please do not let this be your "I have donated, now I can feel good about myself and ignore those still in suffering" moment.

To all those people complain about PYRE, you realise this is an Evi thing not a PYRE thing right? And PYRE is a merc corp we just get paid by the Amarr? Most of us don't care. I gave em caviar and nerve sticks as a joke more then anything else. The idea of a bunch of stoned base liners stuffing expensive horrible tasting food down there necks amuses me.
