So I've gotten the basics of solo pvp down and am quite competent with frigates of nearly every make

Wanting more out of my pvp, I've up shipped to battleships this month.

I bought two Amarr navy battleships with some extortion money and took em out for a spin in lowsec.

The first one, a navy Armageddon, died horribly to a handful of navy frigates. Turns out even double webs and a neut won't help your large pulse lasers track an after burning frigate. Haha noob mistake right?

Next I refit my navy apoc with small pulse lasers and took it out a few days later. It died horribly to a kite fleet with ashimu tackle. Small guns couldn't break his tank before I was capped out. Lol. If I had the original fit, large pulse with a cap booster...

Thing is, every time I take out something bigger than a frig, something like this happens. And that's fine.

Tldr,
Darth, after loosing billions in large ships finally got a juicy kill.
Yea I know a gnosis kill isn't exactly awesome considering I was in a navy battle cruiser.

There is a large amount of ships in the gap between frigs and BS. That being said I have seen several vids of people in BC/BS doing well in LS PVP, but those guys were really good at managing mods and heat, as well as knowing what type of fights they could handle and taking advantage of the MJD that those hulls have access to as a way to GTFO if needed.

Battleships are very different to flying frigates, expect to lose a lot before you learn to get good at flying them.

Someone sees BS in a low sec he gets people from his PvP corp on coms and they hunt it down, can be missioner, solo PvPer, warping thru to escalation, everything must die.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

I've been there before. After hundreds of frig fights, you've exhausted most of your fits and everything starts becoming stale. However, this is good, as you can recognize which frigs need to die first when you're in a bigger ship.

I've been flying BC's and higher for the past few months now, only occasionally dropping into a svipul or bellicose. Having a blast with the MJD fits though. A few limitations for solo'ing in a BC are removed with MJD, such as, you can just MJD away from things that are faster than you. You can MJD on top of things that are sitting on station undocks or on beacons.

I particularly enjoy setting the BC up to kill scram tackle, and then, when all scrams are dead.. leave.. you exit with a giant middle finger to their gang. Its a good way of killing t3d too.

If you want something that is better suited to killing frigs, and you have a couple races trained up, pick out some BC's. Insurance is great (most of my fits total cost is around 30-35m after insurance), they have MJD, their guns track frigs better than BS. And since cruisers and smaller is the meta right now, they'll work better (when properly equipped).

The only battleship I would really recommend is a triple-tanked Scorpion with a cyno fitted.

I would reccomend Navy Brutix (hull tanked) + RR Dominix alt. You could knock those lil bithes out before one of your ships die.
