A Message to CCP Concerning Opportunities

I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this, but the current Opportunities tutorial is a huge issue, so, I've posted it in the issues forum.

I started up a fresh account today and was greeted with the Opportunities tutorial, so I decided to record my way through it and take note of any issues I had with it, as a new player.

This is the result:

I want all readers to understand that I take this very seriously. Rookie Help is, daily, full of people who are on the verge of quitting the game because they're ready to bash their heads into the wall due to the tutorial being difficult to understand, especially under the overwhelming pressure of the initial dive into the extremely complex game, itself. A lot of these guys are used to playing common MMOs like WoW, SWTOR, and other big titles. They're not used to the do-it-yourself realism presented in EVE, and while I think the tutorial should encourage players to go out and do-it-themselves, it should not be outright lax in its ability to present complete, accurate, and absolutely necessary information about the game. Unfortunately, that is exactly what Opportunities does. There are innumerable gaps in the teachings of the tutorial which brand-spanking-new players are forced to fill in. On active days, rookie help scrolls too fast to even see what people are asking.

I'm not alone in my opinion. I have only seen, to memory, one single person, maaaybe two, support Opportuinities. Numerous people have denounced it, some even laugh at it. It's quite sad, and something needs to be done.

I'm not saying Opportunities can't work as a tutorial system. It does need serious adjustments, though. Right now, it's incomplete. It shouldn't have left Singularity.
