And so we have put out a new version of the EVE Probe.

http://files.eveprobe.ccpgames.com/eveprobe-0.88.3190.0.msi

What's new:

  • Scene playing video on a billboard in space.
  • Small changes to indirect lighting scene.

Know issue:

  • The FPS numbers in the launchers are x1000 too high.

you forgot to ad the link to the download.

it uses the rescache now, right?

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

http://files.eveprobe.ccpgames.com/eveprobe-0.88.3190.0.msi appears to work.

Edit: If you have the previous version of the launcher already installed, I think it should be able to automatically pull down the .88 binaries without needing to use the msi.

This is true. Which means, that unless we have to make updates to the EVE Probe launcher itself, changes will become available as we publish them. That is, the Probe will go get the latest version.

Thanks. We'll look into what's up.

Were you able to run the last version of the EVE Probe?

I get the same.

I was running 0.84 before that. On Windows 8.1 if that helps.

I am still not getting the same error. I wonder if you could try to uninstall your current EVE Probe and re-install the 0.88.3190.0 version?

Uninstalled 0.88 and noticed that 0.84 was still showing in the Programs list, so uninstalled that as well (still had files in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE Probe).

Works now.

Thanks!

Don't recall what was the last version I had installed. I uninstalled/deleted any folder of Eve Probe. Installed the above file, it updated itself, works fine now. WIndows 7 SP1.

Any idea when we will be able to manually change the cache location on eve probe. Setup is not finding my new cache location.
Which causes it to fail. The application loads but tries to use the default location and fails.

If i dont know something about EVE. I check https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/ISK_The_Guide

See you around the universe.

Mine completely skips scene 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7. The loading gets to 90%, then it starts loading a new one. This is the first EVE Probe I've installed.

And of course, the Avg. FPS counter is 100* times higher than normal

What a piece of junk, it does not get further than 25% while "updating binaries" most of the time less

If you want to send me the User ID under the settings tab, I can see if there is anything in our logs which would help us solve this.

Was fixed with version 0.90, but just in case anyways
