Faction buffer mods are going to be a thing and some people are going to make a lot of money. 'Nuff said.

I missed the opportunity because I woke up 2 or 3 hours after the Dev post went up.

Very, very interesting.

Similar to the MWD/AB Tiericide.

A bit different from a market perspective, however, as the meta 6+ prop mods were all unambiguously superior to the budget options pre-tiericide.

The meta 6+ plates have gone from niche mods to unambiguously the strongest in class. And the lack of deadspace mods changes the situation somewhat too.

Indeed, Federation Navy 800/1600mms are especially strong, as they have the lowest mass penalty of them all with almost the same HP as INs that are actually going up in mass by a huge amount.

Additional mass is killer for any armour cruiser setup.

http://pastebin.com/X3tfpStN - If the following doesn't comply with forum rules, I'll repost the log in the Pirate stories thread. Roll

Find your favourite Imperial Navy or Federation Navy 1600 or 800mm plate here:

1) Imperial Navy - https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/buy/10000002/1000179
2) Federation Navy - https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/buy/10000002/1000181

Enter 1600mm or 800mm in the Search field.

Federation Navy 1600mm LP store cost is 4 mil ISK fixed, around 20 mil in tags and 10,000 LP = At 1000 ISK / LP that puts the end price at 34 mil p/u.
Imperial Navy 1600mm LP store cost is 4 mil ISK fixed, 14 mil in tags, 10k LP = At the same exchange rate, it is 28 mil ISK.

Federation Navy 800mm LP store cost is 3 mil ISK fixed, 10 mil in tags and 5k LP = At 1000 ISK / LP the price is 18 mil p/u.
Imperial Navy 800mm LP store cost is 3 mil ISK fixed, around 7.6 mil in tags and 5k LP = At 1000 ISK / LP it would be 15.6 mil p/u.

Here's the Republic Fleet Large & Medium Extender prices:

1) LSE 10,000 LP, 4 mil ISK fixed, 7.2 mil in tags = 21.2 mil p/u
2) MSE 3,000 LP, 3 mil ISK fixed, 2.7 mil ISK in tags = 8.7 mil p/u at 1000 ISK / LP.

Of course, the end price for you will be whatever you're willing to pay per 1 LP.

[ 2015.05.21 23:19:04 ] xxxxxx > i can get 500k LP per day

Needless to say I refused the RF LSE and FN 1600mm contracts. Smile

That is likely, yes. I think most of the supply comes from Level 4 faction missions, where standing loss is unavoidable, which is why some people tend to avoid these.

Perhaps with with Tags going up in price, more would see it as an option.

Don't they come from FW missions as well?

They do, but I don't think most complete & salvage the missions in a traditional kind of way. I remember doing them in a Stealth Bomber back in 2009 - kill the trigger and get out. Smile

The tag market is a strange beast.
Minmatar and Gallente have 7? regular LvL 4 misssion with several parts to get tags
Amarr and Caldari only 2?
Storyline missions
All FW missions give tags but usually are blitzed

Checking the volume history in Jita it seems the supply for many tags is more or less constant but from my experience it isn't. With the usual delay after a price rise, volume rise too.
My guess FW missions usually are bltized but when tag prices rise to a certain level people recognize it and start to farm them. And with FW missions there is a more or less unlimited supply of tags.

That uncertainty is very dangerous when you try to corner the tag market.

The demand for LP shop faction items is fairly limited, most LP shop faction items have a pirate faction counterpart. And many LP shop items are price restricted due to better Deadspace stuff. That means you can't push the tag prices through the roof as LP shop items won't be selling anymore. This is a fine loop because too expansive LP shop items will cause the demand for tags going down.

FW missions are indeed *usually* blitzed but there is nothing stopping a player from methodically clearing them to farm tags.

If you chain FW missions, you can blitz the ones in systems your militia doesn't have much presence in, and methodically clear the ones your militia can escalate in.

Someone tried to corner the Imperial Navy 1600mm Plates in Domain region, and someone got dunked - http://i.imgur.com/ITtmhlw.png

http://i.imgur.com/FP2WGeq.png - At 51 mil p/u, they're priced at 2,867 ISK / LP. ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)

I am not surprised as this item can only be obtained by FW LP it stands to reason that the market would be lacking in supply (Amarr being T1 right now). Sure there's a few people with LP stored but these plates are the best and people will pay good money for the best.

The 1600mm Imperial Navy plates in Amarr are at 44 mil p/u now, but the 800mm IN plates in Jita are selling at 49 mil p/u, which is 7500 ISK / LP.

You guys going to let opportunity dry up like that? Smile

Convert your 500k LP with 24th Imperial Crusade to 3.75bn ISK.

How to lose 3.5bn ISK overnight, and then double-down on a losing trade - http://i.imgur.com/QPHbtjG.png

Back to 58 mil p/u - that's 3552 ISK / LP, just check for yourself bois - https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/buy/10000002/1000179

They are 44 mil p/u in Jieta, with universal buy orders around 38-39 mil.

Amarr and Caldari tags also come from certain level 5 missions that people do with in lowsec. While this isnt really applicable to this particular thing. I am sure each faction has their level 5 missions that provide an ungodly amount of tags in several of the carrier blitzable missions. I guess those tags are all determined of use if people use mobile tractor units or noctic alts while they run those missions.

I hope you have noticed PG/CPU requirements as well... Just saying.
