At first, I couldn't log in at all today. The launcher was greyed out for about 10 minutes, then decided finally to turn yellow and let me press play. Then Eve wouldn't start; the program just sat at the same CPU/memory usage and no program ever appeared except as a background task.

So, I went in and ran the repair tool. Nothing wrong, according to it. Eve still wouldn't start. So, I ran rescache. Bunch of missing files and a few corrupted ones. Went through half an hour of trying to get that to work, and then Eve finally booted up.

And all I saw was this.

At this point, I concluded my client was 100% fucked, and deleted the whole thing for a reinstall.

20 minutes and a reinstall later, I'm still seeing the same no message ID error.

What is the problem, and how can I fix this? Is it my client? Is it my computer? Is this something on CCP's end?

Well, it appears that the files where the game text should be are missing/corrupt. A reinstall should've fixed that though. Maybe try removing the whole thing with Revo uninstaller, the free version will do just fine. It'll find and remove any leftover registry keys and files that the usual uninstall sometimes may leave behind.

Edit, with Revo, if there are any leftovers, make sure you click Select all, then delete, don't just click next.
