As above.
i am upgrading from an alienware laptop to a new rig for eve i did plan to get myself a 27" gaming monitor while trying to saty in a sensible price bracket of £250 most monitors i found were 1920 x 1080p then i found this baby Dell UltraSharp U2515H 25" QHD IPS Professional Widescreen LED Monitor for £270 it has :-

- Screen Size: 25" IPS Widescreen
- Resolution: 2560x1440
- Contrast Ratio: 200,000,000:1
- Brightness: 350cd/m²
- Response Time: 6ms

so my concerns are the response time is 6ms i don't think this will have a real impact on eve

anyone care to share what they use, would you use the above?

cheers

Dell XPS 17 (L702X) (17" screen)
External Dell U2410 Ultrasharp 24" Monitor

Both work great 1920 x 1080 on laptop and 1920 x 1200 on the monitor, use for graphic design too and are great screens

1920x1080@15.6"

Sharp. ^_^

Would have went smaller, but price was unreasonable.

3840x2160 24"

Sure everything is small but you can easily multibox up to 4 clients on one screen. No head turning to look at side screens.

4* 24" and 2* 22" monitors

Have you heard anything I've said?

That's right.

24" for 144hz purposes.

When the technology allows it I would love to add a (second) 27"+ 4k monitor.

when you say small, do you need near perfect eyesight to see stuff or is it quite sharp and easy to see?

this is my main concern really moving from laptop size to 25" with the 2560x1440 res my eyes are not as good as they used to be am 54yrs i can see my 1920x1080 display fine without my specs.

I can perfectly read the forums on most sizes of screens so i don't see why i would need to upgrade ... Lol

At 100% scaling in game the text is about the of size 7.5-8 font on a 24" 1080p but of course more clear than anything a 1080p can do. Text would be a bit bigger on a 27" 4k screen obviously. I set about arms length away from my screen and it's pretty easy for me to see.

I have a boring battle station, 2x 2560x1440 screens about 25 inches across, and a wireless linked TV screen that runs 4k. I rarely do much where i have to use all of them. (League of Legends on big screen, and a minimap sizer on the monitor... and my chats on the other.) I'm weird.

I know.

I patched my computer graphics card into two iPhones. I secure one over each eye with duct tape and it makes me feel like EVE is real.

Can you not see we are using heathen imperial measurements in this thread??!?!?!

How dare you try to push your proper metric system on us.... how. dare. you.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

It varies. Occasionally I get to use my large screen PC but more often it's either the 11" laptop or a 7" tablet.

Two 24" 1080p 60hz monitors of no particular pedigree , though I have a ridiculous 42" that I pull out for special occasions like a good cinematic narrative driven game.
