Items with high Zydrine/Megacyte consumption

Hello traders,

as we all know, with the upcoming patch next week, CCP is "doubling the Zydrine and Megacyte consumption of almost all blueprints in the game" to "bring the universe-wide consumption of Zydrine and Megacyte closer to some of the original designs".

So i searched the market a little, to see if i could find items, with relatively high required manufacturing input of Zydrine and Megacyte, but still low enough price, to make a profit after the patch hits.

Escpacially 2 items have catched my interest. The "Covert Cynosural Field Generator I" and "Covert Jump Portal Generator I" modules.

Some numbers on them:

Covert Cynosural Field Generator I
Jita-Sell price: 2,79 mil
Jita-Buy price: 2,35 mil
Manufacturing Cost with ME10: 3,32 mil
Manufacturing Cost with ME10 (doubled Zydrine/Megacyte consumption): 5,58 mil

Covert Jump Portal Generator I
Jita-Sell price: 13,89 mil
Jita-Buy price: 8,10 mil
Manufacturing Cost with ME10: 18,83 mil
Manufacturing Cost with ME10 (doubled Zydrine/Megacyte consumption): 36,40 mil

As you can see, both items sell below their manufacturing cost at the moment and should their manufacturing input of Zydrine and Megacyte really be doubled by next week, there is some nice profit to be made. (if my math is actually right and i'm not missing something here Big smile)

So, what do you guys think? Or do you know of any other modules with high Zydrine/Megacyte consumption?

The Covert Cynosural Field Generator I has curious Everests of supply, compared to demand - http://eve-markets.net/detail?typeid=28646#supply

I guess people just purchase these off the sell orders most of the time.

If the inputs do double, expect to sell them below the new build cost to lock the manufacturers out of the market. Same thing happened during the Battlecruiser and Battleship Tiericide - people overproduced prior to the change, and stocks from that rush supplied the market for years to come. Smile

Fozzie's next few words after "almost all" were about some crystals that already had a high meg zyd component. These were going to escape the doubling.

Relatively high. Small amount of meg but small amounts of the others (if at all, dont remember the details). Tiny things anyway, would have to have so many of them to be interesting, would probably take years to sell them.

Which is all kind of beside the point if they are excluded anyway. I dont know why I am writing this, Ill stop now :-)

I find it interesting that the Victorieux Luxury Yacht appears to have the "intended" Zydrine & Megacyte inputs, as Nocxium is at 1500, Zyd with 1000 and Megacyte is at 365 units total AFAIR.

[Here were pre-patch Abaddon BoM - now lost in time]

There's around 615 units on the Forge market in the 4.7-5.7 mil range - the bulk of it is at the top of the range.

Pretty good. Manufacturing cost for the Covert Cyno is now double the price, i bought them for. The market needs some more time to adjust to new levels though. They are still selling for below manufacturing cost. I'll give it some more time to go to 5,0-5,5 mil before selling my stock.

The Covert Jump Portal Generators did not double in manufacturing cost, but i'll still make ~50% profit on them.

So all in all, it was not a bad investment.

Perhaps, someone didn't get the memo; perhaps, they aren't moving too good; perhaps, they are happy with just 33%. There's an additional 266 for sale across Molden Heath, the Forge and Sinq Laison regions at 4.7 mil average.

Buy orders for 7 at 4.45 mil next door in Jita - cap 10% after sales tax.

Build costs previously were posted at Material Efficiency 0 manufacturing in a station, they are actually 5,487,432 ISK with a ME 10 print, and due to MegaZyd now being dumped in force, which leaves room upto the break-even 5.574 mil with Broker & Sales tax taken into account. Some duder might come after you with a Thukker bat - watch out. v0v
