This is the follow-up thread to Abolish Rookiecorps.

With this done, people will be able to ...
... explore different professions directly within different social environments ...
... and always have the choice of opting-out and playing alone instead.

Freedom is slavery !

Freedom is just an idea. Throwing people into any environment that lacks restrictions ...
... always leads to some people killing other people ...
... many people simply dieing out of hunger ...
... and a lot of people joining together into small communities ...
... working together for survival. See also Anarchy.

People will always restrict themselves when it comes to the social environment ...
... either by being extremely unpopular ...
... or because the community demands it for survival.

They fill out roles based on their abilities or interests ...
... at the cost of all the other things they could possibly do at that time.

A big difference to the current state in-game is that players will have the choice to opt-out of "people" ...
... compared to having it hard opting-into "people", like it is now.

So I would abolish Freedom ...
... and instead empower the individual role within society as a whole.

By being thrown right into a social environment ...
... every single new players learns ...
... that the game is a gigantic network of people playing together, even indirectly.

The message comes across pretty clear.

Every single player has a role within society.

And everyone's important. Kind of.
Except for the outcasts.
They always exist.

There will be a minority of people who want to opt-out by default.
I believe these are special and should be addressed seperately from the others.

For the vast majority of people I would go as follows.

First I would create a thread ...
... asking the people about their professions.

They would include generic gameplay options, such as ...
... "Miner", "Industrialist", "Mission Runner", "Explorer", "Trader", "Courier", ...

... but there are way, way more player-created professions, such as ...
... "Suicide Ganker", "Pirate", "Scammer (general)", "ISK doubler (specific)", "Mercenary", "Awoxer", ...
... "Diplomath", "Logisticer (isthataword?)", "Prostitute" and many many others.

The people in this thread need to be aware of this ! It's about "what they do" !

What's the name of the profession of those who participate in the A'J Project ?
They're scientists ? Archeologists ? Just... explorers in general ?

With that extensive list of names ...
... I would search through it and reduce it to at least 50 or 100 reasonable sounding things one could do.

There's my crowd control, btw.

I would create a simple UI with a scrollable list containing all those I've mentioned above.

"Diplomaths", possibly more than "Secretaries",
might be a profession some talented people will want to try themselves in.
Not mentioned above, "Salvager" (see corporation Pro Synergy) is definitely a valid profession as well.

... and am I quite sure there are CEOs out there who have a "Secretary" working for them. ;)

So I have this UI window with this gigantic list of jobs people have in EVE ONLINE ...
... realise it's waaaaaaaayyyyyy more than what one can do in any other game ...
... and with this can pick me a corp that teaches and/or needs a capsuleer in that position.

The game offers me to feel like I'm an important part of something.
Something for which people work together.

It works in nullsec.
The vast amount of people tells me that it works in general as well.

From that UI, players would be able to list corporations who need and/or teach the listed profession.
I guess one important detail here is that the list should always show the newest ones on top.

From knowing that absolutely most of the corporation advertisements are somehow alike,
I would simply remove the current mechanics alltogether and instead have CEOs
fill out a formular which allows them to seek players based on their interests and professions directly.

A "character age" and a commentary field might be of value.

The job seeking player gets to click through lists of professions ...
... with CEOs explaining in detail how the player's job in his corporation would be like, plus specifics ofc.

What this would create is an environment where players are born into groups which help them
to grow up, learn, earn ISK and surivive in the game. It underlines the importance of the individual
within the group, which is a part of the whole.

As everyone influences everyone else even if it's only indirectly ...
... I believe it would be a good idea to make people aware of this fact.

Another thread will come up as well.

Thanks for reading. :)

Was anything you just wrote necessary when we presume the sandbox is self regulating?

Sheesh, why is it too hard for you to grasp what I wrote ?

It's not like I'm talking to you guys anyway ...
... but what exactly is your issue ?

That you have to actually think and invest thought ?

Hahahaha that would be so fitting and ironic. ^_^

You have a very, very, very long and rambling thread. Making something difficult to read with a convoluted message does not help your case in persuading people.

You should have enough control over your herd of cats to make them understand. If they constantly make misstakes, get better cats.

That doesn't really answer my question.

Just ... try ? It's not rocket science ?

According to https://translate.google.com/#sol/en/ , the OP is saying that corporation recruitment ads should be replaced with want ads for specific professions and that these new ads should be among the first things a new player sees.

There was also something about hovercrafts.

Somewhere in that wall of text / social commentary / I don't have a clue what, there has tp be an idea or suggestion for a change to this game. However given my lack of patience for this type of thing I am not going to read it more than once to try and figure it out.

On the off chance that this is just a clever(but failed) attempt to re-post your idea about abolishing rookie corps the answer was, is and will forever be NO.

The fact that you know you are incapable of thinking things through ...
... should give you a hint towards the relevance of your thoughts, opinions and conclusions.

I already stated that I will rewrite the initial post ...
... and then will request to have all the following posts wiped from the thread.

Im all for empowering the individual
But this is EvE after all not Philosophy-1001

Perhaps we will get a more cohesive persuasive argument when the formatting issues and the migraines that develop trying to read this are rectified.
