This isn't my main, and i understand the basics of finding, exploring wormholes and their statics.

My question is: how do you determine how much ir if a wornhole would sell? I know c2 and c4 with high sec statics are probably the most desired in quanity. And can you only sell empty wormholes? A.k.a no one has a POS there?

Just looking for a few guidelines or tips. Thanks ^^

http://wormholesales.com/ might give you an idea about the value of certain systems. As for POSes, dead sticks are generally OK, onlined ones (check for Force Fields on d-scan) are not.

yes if it is offline then there is no forcefield on dscan but be careful on honeypotting . someone can intentionally not type password for forcefield to not activate it and may use his pos as bait. example you find a offline pos with hangars and stuff on dscan, you think is offline because no forcefield bu t there is few bubbles and containers you ignore. you finish pos scan and warp in you land in bubble and get decloaked by nearby containers and pos guns take your ship down

just for your information to take caution when probing down offline pos with hangars / ships floating around.

Just to be clear. The tower will always state clearly in game what state it is in. There is no offline honeypot if you read the tower state clearly.

Online, forcefield: occupied
Online, no forcefield: honeypot
Offline/Anchored, no forcefield: abandoned
Unanchored: scoop that

yeah was trying to mean that. i know that some nullsec people do this kind of traps. but is not so common and is not very effective but can be called passive pvp because your tower kill not exacly you :D

Evictions for re-sale are also common practice, or you can extort people. Lots of ways to make ISK from a occupied WH.

1. Find really, really, really lazy and stupid people
2. Sell them a WH

(No one should ever buy a WH ever)

Drop bookmarks to entrance systems in trade hubs.
Drop a can right outside the wormhole on the kspace side advertising an 'Open House'
????
Profit

There are a lot of ways to check quality/viability of PI in a system. This is one. There are others.

You did not ask but in case you're wondering "good" PI means forst and formost the option to produce POS fuel components.

Huh?

Basic ROI calculation says you are dumb.

It can take hours or days of scanning to find an unoccupied C5/C6 with a good effect (WR/Mag/Pulsar) for cap escalating. I paid... I think 1-2b for my Wolf Rayet. Pays for itself in under an hour of running sites.

lol... ok mr. elite PL farmer. you got it. it's not like you can pay off 2bil in an hour of site running in literally any C5-6 wh...
like i said, you need to find a really, really lazy person and get them to give you isk for no reason.
comments like this are great to remind us of why people consider ns groups in wspace a joke.

I am not sure that c4 is the most desirable for carebears these days. i think a c3 static would be better. as somebody already mentioned, dead sticks are ok. preferred if they don't have anchored mods as those towers can be up and running quickly. it used to be that c1 and c2 with hisec static would sell the quickest. c3-HS did ok. not sure if that is true anymore. plenty of people are buying honey holes for cap escalations as moving caps into wh space can be challenging now unless you have liquid cash to buy caps in a system and then move them in.
