Was thinking yesterday: do i should sell my CA-3/CA-4 pair to buy orders for 400mil? Decided to wait until tomorrow....
Lost 600 million ISK of potential profit .... Damn.... What can i make myself do right in such cases? Cry

One thing makes it easier to handle: when Collectors Edition came i made quite good profit trading these implants. So i could say they were free What?

You thought prices would go up again once all accounts received another CA3/CA4 pair? Odd...

Surely these implants will recover eventually?

Not to 3b unless they're never given out again. Before they were a preorder bonus for the Collector's Edition, I can't imagine there were that many preordered.

not anymore , even if they wont give them out again , the supply is just huge .

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

That't that thing i don't get.

If they are items you can't get hold of in game surely, eventually the price will rise again?

If these items aren't in an LP store or part of a pay out bonus why wouldn't the price eventually increase to 3b again?

What makes you think the people who received the implants haven't plugged them in?

First there were ca1 and ca2 implants which got introduced years ago , and given to everyone . (twice i think)
Their price never went high because of the "global supply" (i didnt played much back then)

Then the collector got introduced , and ONLY for the preorder there were certain rewards , for the first time Ca3 and ca4 implants .
Theyre number were limited like really limited , only those who PREORDERED a 100$ collector got them , so it was not even for all the collectors sold but really a small number .

And "Some" people thought they wont be introduced again (not all , even description and items like ca1 ca2 showed they probably wont be unique forever) But they became less in number ... lets say from 100 (just a example ) they became 90 , then 70 , then 40 , so the price started to reflect that . For a small amount of pilots (shield supers) and for some collectors/speculators , they were still worth it . So that how they got expensive .

Now .... they have been given to everyone , everyone has them , and everyone knows 100% that they arent unique to preorder and probably will be introduced again like ca1 ca2 . So theyre number is 5000 .... To cost 3 bil , they must become 40 in number ... AND even then collectors and speculators wont invest in them , so they will be worth it too less people , so less people will be willing to spend 6 bil for them .

To become from 5000 ---> 40 it would take years (100-->40 took 2 years) from 5000 they will be destroyed faster , but still the time is huge . Until then its more likely that they will be given out again . they now officially became exactly like ca1 and ca2 , which NEVER had those prices for a good reason .

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

Not quite correct. v0v

There is always Step 2.5) ???

Also, even if only (hehe) 30,000 of each hit the market, that's 4 Trillion ISK required at current prices, with the average being considerably above that.
