Mining/Distribution Missions 2+

What ship should I be using? General suggestions for the spread from 2-5 would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried Vexor mining 2's, but that's like 7 trips depending. A Mining Barge seems overkill.

On the flipside, some of the transports seem a bit much for Distribution missions so i'm left wondering.. what 'should' I be using and when should I think about upgrading.

I know Combats are generally Frigate - 1, Cruiser - 2, BC - 3, BS - 4

Anyone got a good suggestion for the non combats?

I don't remember the exact numbers, but level 4 distribution missions are all under 10000m³. You can do all of them in a Bestower, Iteron Mk.III, or Mammoth.

Edit: Oh, and level 2 distribution missions can still be done in any of the cargo frigs.

Distribution:

  • Level 1 are generally up to 500m3 (Probe with expanded cargo holds, or a Wreathe)
  • Level 2 are generally up to 1000 m3 (tier 1 industrial such as Wreathe, Sigil)
  • Level 3 are generally up to 4200m3
  • Level 4 are generally up to 7200m3 (Iteron III with two expanded cargo holds)


Mining: can't remember lower levels, but L4 mining missions typically have you mining 10-40km3 of asteroids, or several thousand units of gas. I ended up using two Hulks + Orca for asteroid mining or two Moas + Orca for gas harvesting.

I must have run hundreds of them, but I don't remember ever getting one that would not fit in a Probe. They are usually around 400m³.

Some are 9600m³, but those still fit in an Iteron III.
