Has anybody noticed how insanely high the cpu is and how low the grid is on the rook? I recommend that ccp shave 30 points of the cpu and add it to the grid because the rook has big time fitting issues, any thoughts on that?

Rook is an ECM boat and as such, the only changes to it should be nerfs.

What are you trying to fit to it?

EWAR uses losts of CPU, missiles use CPU. Why would you want an EWAR missile boat to have anything but absurdly high CPU, and why is skimping on the grid a problem? Just what kind of mad fit are you trying to make?

Yeah with a little more pg it could be fitted with HAM+tank for closer range action, would give more possibilities at least.

I, for one, am all for more survivable ECM boats on the battlefield.

Oh wait, no I'm not.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I post with my main.

With a RCU it can be. Having to sacrifice a low in order to turn it into a brawler boat is a fair trade imo. After all it is a specialist E-war boat, turning something with that much jam power into a front-line DPS/ Tank boat shouldn't be too easy or they would be everywhere and subsequently, nerfed.

hmm huginn wasnt nerfed at all it can do that without an rcu and putting up shield tank + tackler gear greatly lowers its jam power

lol @ rook within HAM range

if you're sitting 60km away lobbing heavy missiles, if you miss a jam, you can probably make it out
if you're brawling within 15km lobbing heavy assault missiles and you miss a jam, you're pointed and dead

not that rooks survive that much anyway... but you get the drift.

what I mean is even though ewar is cpu hungry the cpu on the rook is ridiculous I always have shitloads of cpu left, I havent even seen a fit that come close of using all the cpu on that boat.
All I want to fit is
5 hml t2

1 lse T2
1 invul t2
4 jammers rainbow meta 4
mwd meta 4

dcu t2
and sda and bcu combo or just 2 sda

em and shield extender rig

I dont think that it's to much to ask for that the rook gets some balance in the grid/cpu

It's not like the rook is that overpowered

with all that stuff on there is still 170 cpu left with my skills and I only need 5 grid

well this is only my 5 cents

PG2 makes that fit just fine.

T2 ECM perhaps, or expanded probe launcher.

Players are spoiled by a number of ships that have no-compromise fitting options. You're mad because the rook isn't one of them? I'm not even going to bother to check to see if you have shield upgrades V and advanced weapon upgrades V. If you don't, train them and stop complaining. If you do, and it still doesn't fit... genolution implants, pg implants, meta 4 LSE, PDU, storyline MWD or ACR rig.

Minnie ships are indeed retardedly easy to fit compared to other races. CCP wouldn't want it any other way ofcourse.
