An idea I've had kicking around in my head for a few months, is the MDS network a Strategic Sovereignty upgrade for Ihubs, since eve technology allows ships to scan for objects AU's distant, these same scanners could be attuned in a network to track dust and gas particle displacement, such as dust and gases displaced by the hull of a cloaked ship that sits in one place for too long. creating a map warp in on anomalies that fit the profile of areas where cloaked ships might likely resting in a system.

The idea fits the technological capabilities of eve and provides an effective strategic countermeasure to idle cloaked ships in a system, without effecting the balance of game play in a major way. just a thought, would love to hear valid opinions on the idea. there would obviously be a delay between the time the cloaked ship stops moving, and the time the scanner detects the anomaly in the pattern of the system. you could even add an immersion layer and let ships link to it to try detect cloaked ships sooner if the MDS network is present in the system.
