Things have been a bit stagnant around here for a few weeks and with this months comp flopping I thought a Thunderdome sounded like a lot of fun after a certain coward (declining a C&P Thunderdome brands you as coward forever no?) declined one I accepted it instead. I originally put in a silly victory condition and as I was telling the missus about this she came up with the best idea ever. I quote 'honey why don't you do that as a fundraiser for Nepal'. I have been scratching my head on what to do and yeah she had this great idea. How could we do this? I was thinking people could add a condition for a reasonable donation instead of the competitors as we really don't have a beef to settle. Let me know if anyone would be interested in this. Also leto if your keen to agree to letting other people set the rules for reasonable donations let me know. If not we just have a regular C&P Thunderdome. I'm willing to consider any condition that isn't permanent like altering my bio line for a month or the ship types we use etc

Let me know thoughts on this

Maybe a Tourney style thunderdome, for entry you need to buy a plex You can print a receipt somehow verifying that with the receipt?, every entry then sells the plex and sends the isk to third party. The winner gets pay out?

Stream it get someone popular to commentate over it. Have prizes for people who watch the stream the ad revenue from the stream goes to Nepal as well?

Im good with w/e as long as ships blow up, and I am good with the PLEX idea as long as someone else handles it. I dont wanna mess it up and get a ban.

Conditions:

All thunderdrome events take place in Amaar lowsec.

Norgen, I cannot fly a T1 cruiser because black legion has a strict "no poors" policy. If I am caught flying one, its curtains for me. Im sure Tora can spot you (RIGHT TORA?).

My victory conditions are as such:

You will change your forum signature to a link to Holeysheet1's KB, with the text "I wanna be like Holey" for one month, and you will send daily applications to Renegade Armada. in hopes of being accepted. If accepted, you must fly with them for one week, and bump his thread with positive comments.

The glove has been dropped.

What say you?

I'm also ok with the plex idea as long as somebody else handles it as i'm far to forgetful with prizes (ask miral about the damed rubber geddon that i just remembered about). Anybody know somebody willing to ensure our plex's go to plex for good?

I retract me previous comment from the other thread. Anybody willing to donate a plex on my behalf may pick the victory conditions for me (ps ill probably lose Blink) If nobody does i'll hit incursions or missions or liquidate some stuff and afford it.

Also anybody else who wishes to make a donation of 250mil isk to whoever volunteers to handle the plex's for plex for good can add to leto's conditions on if I (likely) lose. I know there are some real marmite haters out there so I'm betting for a mere 250mil ISK some of ya would love to embarrass me Big smile. Tell your friends too. PS I'll mail some of the losses on my killboard once we get somebody to handle the isk/plex's for this

Ok Leto what class of ship do you suggest or should we leave that up to a donator? I can fly t1 battleships t1 Battlecruisers t3's hacs and af's and most t1 ships which leto has said no too Sad

Apologies all for my absence of late. I have been...indisposed. As the reigning Thunderdome champion, I would be remiss if I did not participate in this event. I shall contribute myself as a combatant in a PLEX-for-good event, along with at least one PLEX.

If your serious about receiving the plex's for the entrance fee and contracting them to ccp once its confirmed sure. remember scamming this is a perma bannable offence Blink

I haven't read up much on the plex for good, but I figure if I get the isk I can figure it out.

No, I won't double it or blow it on hookers and booze. I say lots of insincere crap on these boards, but I'm a pretty straight player. I just like making a mess now and then.

I can run a random number generator to make the brackets as fair as possible, and I can check wallet donations on the phone... Which means even if I can't log in it'll work.

I figured I would post baseline rules, the bracket, and a closing time for entries. We also need to figure out the prize for the winner. I will liquidate something so I can donate as well.

Also, no, alts aren't allowed. Both combatants will be in fleet together to avoid any question of links. Its 1v1.

No issue with that, I may still donate something if I can get on.

My login times are so inconsistent this probably will be better for everyone.

As for this event, sounds like a good idea so I'll donate 250 mil for myself and I'll even throw in another 250 mil in the name of the rocket scientist that I quoted above with the personal challenge that if the above mentioned fails to match or excede my donation of 500 mil (and that means you KAELYNN ROSE) then he/she goes on Letos gaping vagina list for a period of time to be decided by the honorable members of the Court of Crime and Punishment.

Leto , please let me know if the isk is going to Chribba or Mobad.

Chribba is a better choice. He'll be more available and handles a lot of 3rd party stuff. Wait for confirmation before you send it, but it's 90% chance on him.
