Is the launcher supposed to check this every day that I login? Pretty annoying as my install is on a HDD and not a SSD.

I was going to post a thread on this. Have to say, this is a pain in the arse. They've actually made logging into the game an annoying experience.

Sorry, but welcome to the checking shared resources cache loop on the Launcher. You two are not alone alas, and there's been no response for at least 4 days on this glitch.

It's all kinds of annoying when switching accounts several times in a day. Evil

Hi Guys,

Any chance one of you can post the error? In the mean time feel free to try one of these.

- Re-install your client. I recommend the default (C) Drive location for the time being.
- Run the repair. both via the launcher and with in the C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE ( look for Repair.exe)
- if that doesn't work. trying pasting this into your browser and then running it.
- Can also try running as administrator ( I disabled UAC when re-installing)

http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_878305.exe
( please note this patch is of 17/05/2015 so may not work for you if a new patch as been released)

If all of those fail, feel free to post the error and a link to your launcher.log file ( pastebin or mailbigfile)

I Do believe that these errors are doing with the launcher caching the patch and so it is not being applied correctly ( or the wrong patch is being applied) just a theory at the moment though ( need to gather more intel :D, scout o7)

Thanks.

That's unfortunately part of the problem. There's no visible error message that would give a hint where to start.

What it's doing for some of us is, when the Launcher starts to run for a login attempt, it does the checking shared resources cache check each and every time the Launcher is activated. For me at least it is still possible to login, but only after this check is completed. That has become a serious time sink when changing accounts for login, logging out for a while then returning to play, etc. I'm not suffering from the 2-5 minute wait as some are, but it's about a minute of those files being checked and rechecked at each login.

Waiting on the link via email to get a pastebin account to post what I *Think!* is the Launcher log files. I'm not sure, no directions on which giant notepad file it is, so I'm winging it.

Cool,

Any Chance you guys can try running this, ( paste it into your browser)
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_878305.exe

You can just press next a couple of times & let it run, as long as eve is installed in the default location.

You can also try deleting your launcher folder out of the eve directory, located: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE
then run the repair tool, however I think its related to either the applying of the patch.. or the wrong patch is being applied. so this may not work, :/

Also seems to be a issue when the PC is restarted the error will re-appear, haven't been able to replicate this myself. :(
( if anyone can confirm this? especially after what ever "fix" they have tried)
