Drifters and corpse harvesting - Concern for the EVE Cemetery

I have a great concern over the wonderful lasting monument to the dead clones of Eve.

Drifters seem to be harvesting dead clones, the frozen corpses that litter New Eden. For what purpose we can only speculate, but it is likely they are re-animating the biological matter as new pilots.

They also seem to have an unhealthy, strong attraction to Amarr space. It seems they are more frequent and more active in this area than in the other empires.

The greatest concentration of frozen dead biomass is in Amarian space at the EVE cemetary - coincidence??

If the drifters got their hands on the Cemetery, then the numbers of re-animated pilots would be truly breathtaking - and scary!!

The recent release of the video taken at the mass rendezvous point and resulting in the concord arrest of three journalists showed what basically looked like an invasion fleet. My question is, how many of these ships actually had pilots? was the large structure in the center some kind of ship building facility?

There is enough Biomass in the eve cemetery to more than fill that fleet with pilots , could this be what the drifters - or the power behind them - are searching and waiting for??

paranoia??

It isn't paranoia if they really are out to get you!!

Wait... I thought the EVE Cemetery (now it's a place I haven't heard of forever) was destroyed by the authorities under the pretext of "cleaning up space debris" like what, seven years ago? Or I just missed the relevant news bits (sorry, I don't go into Amarr space often)?

My understanding is that the 'authorities' you speak of that destroyed the cemetery years ago were actually a group of Goons out for tears and LOL's.

The cemetery was re-built, and re-populated by some very dedicated capsuleers. it was very much up and running when I was over that way a few months ago.

Wow, it still exists?!... Shocked

I didn't even remember the Goon attempt to destroy the cemetery, and I only vaguely recall it now. I thought when the Concord introduced the "no egger trash in space lasts over 30 days" policy, the Cemetery was gone just like all the memory cans anchored in the New Eden system. Apparently I was wrong. It's a good surprise.

Edit: It would certainly be interesting to see what happens if a Drifter biomass salvage party finds the Cemetery.... Shocked

Hmm, I had not thought of this, strangely.
I'm aquainted with the owner, I'll see if she considered this possibility.

Likewise with one of the other caretakers. But I've not seen him of late. I'll check, however.

Took a fly past last night - still intact, system free of drifters but. . . . .

Jove Observatory and Unidentified wormhole just one system over.

Time to alert Azia.

I don't think that a threat of re-animated pilots is serious, thanks to God, dead clones don't have brains: they were burned out during scanning.

Yeah, let's not mention the location in here, just in case?
I'm not even comfortable with this thread being so....visible. They may be watching.

Edit: In fact, now the point has been raised, perhaps we should remove this.
