The ability to have a truly roaming band of pilots.

Why?

Because people log off and log on, and if you roamed about all the time, everyone would always have to catch up...

Perhaps a ship that alowed clone jumping might help....

But does that work if the corp happened to roam into a wormhole?

Be nice if we had a ship that allowed players to dock with it. Even if it only accepted pilots in their pods.

They could eject and store the ships in a carrier, etc.

But the pods need to move on with the fleet.

I suppose that'd make an awfully juicy target.... a ship-load of pods...

but still, I think we should have it.

Even if the ship served no other function other than to store pods when pilots logged off.

Anyone else like the idea?

Is there anyway this could be abused?

Abused as in if you shoot it all the helpless pods fall out, and their owners might not be online when that happens.

Like the saying says dont put all your pods or clones in a handbasket.

I think there was a giant thread on motherships in the old forums.. I guess it got left behind. Anyways, it would be nice to have a mobile base of operations like that.
