Hello. I am new and think I got scammed.

Started today, I got told to buy a heap of plex for real money and exchange with some guy for clothes. He said I needed to look good or I wouldn't be able to apply to his company. He was from some corporation named Goons. Now I've got no money left.

Did I get ripped off?

I was told Eve was a hard place. Didn't know it was so full of hard people.

No offense but the red flag should have gone up at once when they started asking for any item or funds in exchange for recruitment.

If anyone who is new is reading this. A corp makes use of your skill training, time, and abilities to make their isk. If they demand isk or items before you can join you can be 99 percent sure it is a scam.

If your tale is true you have no way to reverse the damage. I admit the lax stance towards scamming is harming new players but anything that involves your own RL money being spent should be treated as serious.

EVE is a hard place but real life common sense should have told you a scam was happening. You would not send your money to some random email spam no? Same thing here.

If you truly are new. Join EVE university and accept you have lost money to learn a harsh lesson.

or you've been playing for a long time and got scammed and now post this poop to try and pretend that scamming and the attitudes of the playerbase cost CCP subscriptions
