So i request an update on how Dscan immune Recons are doing after theyre buff.

How are they doing in FW plexes? Too OP? Too slow to lock?

What about like hisec wars? Useful? Prob not

Wormhole uses? Op? Too long to lock after target gets on grid coming out of warp? ?

So please update here with how you think the Recons are doing after DScan Immunity Buff and just in general of DScan immUnity.

Thanks

Personally, I like sitting in plexes in my rook, waiting for someone to come in and lock me, Jam them, and moonwalk out.

But I've been told I'm kind of an ass.

Really it works out pretty much just like having a cloak instead as far as whether it is OP or not. Cloak ships have the advantage of being able to camp and observe an area where people move through (like gates and stations) and D-scan immunity is good for situations like FW plexes, where you can camp out and wait for people to warp to you.

My main experience with them is in WH space....D-scan stealth has some interesting situational uses, but tbh regular cloaking is better in most cases. As a W-space resident, because cloakies are so common.... you get so used to not being able to trust D-scans alone anyways, that the D-scan stealth ability is not really that big of a deal.

As for FW or hisec...I would guess that FW complexes are probably one of the best places to get the most out of the stealth ability- and in HS nobody really D-scans that much, so I would figure it to be mostly useless there.

IMO, it's a really nice extra perk so that Combat Recons don't have to try to fit an "Improved Cloak" to keep up with the Force Recons, but it isn't exactly a "win button" either. If you are afraid you are in a place that has Combat Recons lurking about, just throw out Combat Scan Probes. I'd really like to see them tone down the "Nerf Factor" on the Mobile D-scan blockers, and am really interested to see how the proposed "Observatory Array" POS mechanics work...if they are implemented when the new POS stuff comes out.

The BEST low sec ninja ratting ship hands down is a Curse. Dscan immunity means someone who want to kill you has to find you, it's drones do enough dps for the rats in low sec anomalies and belts and people hate the idea of screwing with a pvp fit neuting ship lol.

Why don't you just go get a Recon and find out?
