Capsuleers find non-violent uses for new technologies

News reaches Gutter Press, of capsuleers finding novel and innovative ways to use technology, for non-violent purposes !

Astounding !

The technology in question is the Mobile Depot, a portable storage and ship maintenance facility, that can be used to reconfigure a spaceship while away from normal facilities such as starbase maintenance arrays or station hangars.

The depots can also be configured to display a message to passing ships, a functionality which has already been used to good effect by the missionary Samira Kernher, who utilised the devices to spread the message of the martyr Abel Jarek

The advertising mechanisms of the mobile depot have also attracted the attention of several other entities, including the Aegis Militia.

The Aegis Militia, currently engaged in war against the Drifter Menace, has recently used mobile depots as part of their publicity and propaganda campaign in and around the Amarr system. The central message of many of the outlets has been "Please do not feed the Drifters", referring to the Drifters apparent habit of scooping capsuleer corpses, which are not uncommon outside major trade hubs, such as the Oris station.

Other, less savoury groups, have also used this technology. One Sani Sabik proselytizing group claims to have "operated a propaganda station for months in the Amarr system", using these mobile depots, going on to claim that their depots "went unobserved by the so-called loyalists". A bold claim, however several critics have pointed out, that if the heretics mobile depots went unobserved for months, chances were that no-one else saw them either, which would make the heretic propaganda ineffective at best.

It is hoped by some, that such non-violent activities by capsuleers, are the beginning of a new trend in peaceful space exploitation.

I think I want to try to use them as jammers against known Gallente media channels, if I could place them around any gallente planets in warzone, we might prevent further brainwashing of peoples by gallentean lies and destructive ideals like freedom, hedonism, democracy and all kind of perversions.

If they will stop feeding on gallente propaganda machine, there's a chance they will start thinking for themselves, and instead of watching holo-translations will sit and meditate about meaning of life.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

A group known as the ASA does this to spread their lies, propaganda, and heresy.

We have taken notice, trust me.

Technology used for non violent purposes!? Madness! Next thing you know, we'll be dropping food, medical supplies, and clothing on planets instead of Orbital Strikes! This is completely unacceptable, our image of immortal demigods of death and chaos will be ruined I tell you. Roll

I want to paint my ship Periwinkle.

SFRIM also has several shrines (mobile depots) to Amarr Saints in certain systems to encourage the propagation of the Faith.

Drop-cans and GSCs are also used for propaganda purposes since before there were depots. POSes too, sometimes.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

If I use them to store clothes, does it count as non-violent use?
