I appreciate you trying to help out friends. Good on you, sir.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Want to make New Eden a nice place? Try this out.

I propose a CTA to hunt down the Serpentis scum, I shall bring an assault frigate.

Sounds like your friend and his mother are also in need of a good lawyer. If they can prove the land lord was doing illegal stuff in a lot of places in the US you can go after them for 3 times the damages.

It's unfortunate what happened to your friends, and it's very commendable of you trying to help.

However this is a situation they need to sort out locally with police and a lawyer.

Their situation sucks, yes, but they are not in any life threatening situation whatsoever so I don't see the need for any donations. They have food and a roof over their heads, they'll make it.
Life is hard and not always a walk on roses, but you gotta be strong and get through it. As their friend, you should help them out irl any way you can. Not telling a sob story and begging for money on the internet.

Well THERE'S your problem!
How someone lives in a country illegaly for THIRTY years is just unbelievable. No wonder they're in a world of ****.

Not to go off topic, and I understand some people want to escape bad situations in their home countries, but if you enter another country ILLEGALY then I'm sorry, but don't expect anything whatsoever in return.
If they ever want to resolve their situation they need to go to the embassy or immigration's office or whatever (I don't live in the US so i don't know 100% how it works over there) and apply for a visa.

Only way they will ever resolve their situation is through legal means. Laws are there for a reason. Sorry to break it to you but that's how the world works.
