Yet more new w-space and wormholes

I read on Reddit that there were new w-space systems with single use wormholes tied to the Unidentified Wormholes that the Drifters are using. So I loaded up sisi to try ti for myself.

Confirmed. However currently the actual sig does not despawn. But the wormhole is not there when you land. So you cannot go out the same way you came in. It is effectively one-way.

edit: The actual wormhole is not there. But the sig can be scanned and thus camped.

The hole I used indicates it is able to to accomodate larger ships. One report indicated that a Titan could not navigate it.

edit: another report indicated a carrier could not enter.

The hole I got into was J174618, in constellation K-C00334, in region K-R00033. The sun is an A0IV Blue-type. It had an unidentified effect (most likely a Wolf-Rayet), 5 planets, all shattered, no moons, 5 anoms, 3 sigs, and 1 system-wide beacon. 2 of the sigs were Unidentified Wormholes, neither of which had anything at their scanned locations. The 3rd sig was a normal static D382 wormhole leading to a no-effect class 2 system.

The 5 anoms were listed as Unknown Anomaly. One was a simple Coral Rock formation with 5 Ghost Ships. Another had a pair of Spacial Rifts accompanied by Sleeper Engineering Arrays and Particle Accelerators. The text here reads:
Quote:
Superficially similar to natural phenomena observed throughout space, this spatial rift appears to be artificially generated by a Talocan static gate array. Observations have shown that large quantities of dangerous gamma radiation and x-rays are pouring out of the rift. If this tear in space-time leads anywhere it is likely to be very inhospitable.

The third was a Violent Wormhole with an attendant array of Sleeper equipment. The equipment was arranged such that it formed a vertical disc with its central axis pointed just above the system sun.

The fourth was an odd Hollow Asteroid which was partially filled by some sort of Asteroid Station, another Sleeper Engineering Station, and a "Mysterious Probe". The text was less than revealing.

The 5th site was not so ambiguous. It was a fully active and powered Sleeper Enclave.

Quote:
Imposing in its majesty, this giant dome stands as a testament to the technological might of the ancient Sleeper race. Even millennia old, the innumerable electronics systems within are still comparable to contemporary technology, in some cases even exceeding it. The distinctive hub-like design of this particular structure suggests that it operated as some kind of central data nexus, a shining capital amongst a digital metropolis.

Although entirely functional and intact, the only signs of life within are electrical currents and the eerily constant transfers of data.

Also, there were Circadian Sleepers and Drifters (both Artemis and Apollo) in this system scanning things.

Finally, there was a system-wide beacon site labeled Redoubt. It contained an initial accel gate. Room 2 had a rift (back to start I bet), 2 accel gates, 5 sleeper frigates, another fully active Sleeper Enclave, and a Black Monolith.

As I was not fit for combat and sisi downtime was approaching, I suspended my activities for the time being. However, this allows me to check to see if the unidentified wormholes will respawn on their own after DT at the same locations, different locations, or not at all.

edit: The system that I used to enter this w-space system was KQK1-2 in Pure Blind, 2 jumps from SoE space and only 8 jumps from Torrinos (hisec). I'm curious to know if another ship entering the wormhole will arrive in the same system or a different one.

Is there a list of unidentified wormholes on sisi, or do they spawn randomly like on tq?

I went to the system you had, there was an Unidentified Wormhole that had to be scanned down, but it wouldn't allow my cheetah to enter responding with "The wormhole has collapsed" and then the wormhole disappeared. Also it won't let you warp directly to the wormhole or any of the structures surrounding it, responding with the type of message you get like if you tried to warp to someone inside a complex, and after bookmarking the wormhole and warping from off grid it landed me at 70km from the wormhole.

Also after the wormhole disappeared the signature disappeared, but the beacon that had spawned after warping to it remained and all the sleeper structures remained with the same warp disturbance.

Brief follow-up: I logged back in on Saturday and found that 2 of the 3 signatures had disappeared, leaving only the static D382 wormhole. The anoms and the beacon were still present in system.

The entrances don't need to be scanned. They are warpable beacons, unless CCP has changed that. You cannot warp within the grid of the wormhole. This is normal.

The rest of the behaviors are abnormal. However, I read that CCP has patched out the link between unident wh and these new systems. This would also explain why the sigs disappeared.

It sounds like the normally viewable beacons have been replaced by some sort of new spawning mechanic where the beacon spawns after someone scans it down.

You can also use the /moveme command to get to J200217 which is a similar wormhole, just with a pulsar effect (easily viewable by the pulsar that isn't spinning - a pulsar is a fast spinning neutron star, so it swirls around in a specific frequency for many many millions of year before if slows down).

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!
