Hello all...

Do all types of Frequency Crystals, other then standard ones, break eventually?

For those who break, how long do they normally last?

Comparing with other types of ammo, how expensive are faction/advanced crystals to use?

Thanks

T1 are unlimited use, T2 crystals will break once they reach 1.0 damage. Takes quite a long time ... never had my ships survive that long to tell you what happens then. Blink Prices, check the market ... and yes, Scorch is very useful.

I think t2 is 1000 shots (not really sure) and faction is 5000 shots (much more sure). I think there is also some randomness as crystals don't always take damage when you use them so there will be some +/- figure.

I almost always use t2 or faction ammo, the buff to damage and/or utility pays for itself rather quickly imo.

If you look at Large Navy multi for example: It has 1 HP and 100% volatility which I think means it takes damage 100% of the time and the volatility damage is 0.00025 HP if you divide 1 by 0.00025 you get 4000 so I am guessing that is 4K shots.

Large Scorch on the other hand: while it does also have 1 HP it only has 10% volatility but takes 0.01 HP of damage. So that is where the chance comes in but I think if my math is correct that means on average you'll get about 1000 shots out of it.
