Is there a way to report a market bot?

There are two Quantity 1 sell-orders for Ventures at 300,000 ISK each. If I buy both of them, they immediately show up again. I mean immediately—like, there isn't enough time for my display to show that I've bought them out before two more are put up. I've bought a few, just to test things out.

Is this something I can report? If so, how?

there is supposedly some weirdness with expired orders that don't show up. I've seen it explained a few times but never really cared enough to learn the details.

and I'm 99.9% sure that even a bot couldn't relist an order that fast in eve.

I'm not sure how much of a bug it is. My Venture item-number count goes up.

you're probably buying that venture for 300k, but there are ventures for cheaper, so it buys those first. the market is actually a brokerage, hth

How many days on the expiry for the sell order? If it's more than 90, you've found CCP's market bots. Good luck getting them banned. The person running that bot is good friends with the devs.

Don't think CCP has any venture sell orders out. the CCP orders are more for skill books and I think some NPC trade goods. been a while so I'm not really sure what else they sell.

and there is an expired market sell order that has its venture item-number count go down. try buying 100 ventures at that price point.

and yea, looking at the eve-central prices for ventures that is very likely as most prices are well under 300k isk

There is nothing wrong with using a maker bot to print ventures. Blink

As allready explained, if you buy something in a station and there are sell orders with a lower price as the one you bought you will buy the cheaper ones instead but for the price you selected.

So if there are those sell orders:

20 Ventures for 200k isk each
1 Venture for 300k
1 Venture for 300k

and you buy one of those 300k Ventures the market will look like this afterwards

19 Venture 200k each
1 Venture 300k
1 Venture 300k

but you will have paid 300k for the venture and the seller of those 200k isk ventures will get those 300k isk instead of his selling price.

My CEO had a reverse issue.

He put up a buy order for an item at 1.3 million.

It got filled, bu the journal showed he was charged 1.4 million for the item, 100,000 more that what he had set his buy order for.

How does that work?

That sounds either like a mistake on his side or a bug to me.

Whenever I had this I checked if I sorted it wrong.
Combined with a scrollbar somewhere in the middle the "trick" is perfect.

If you order from anyone who's not the cheapest,
you still buy from the cheapest!

So with wrong sorting it appears the order doesn't change ...
... and that's right, because you bought from a different one!

I have seen this happen for years.

I can't attribute all of them to my own mistakes, though.

One good way to verify the orders available is using the expire column. You would there see if it is a new order or not, as new orders would have the X days, X hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds - then it's new.

Someone answered it by offering more than what was asked. Not a bug; your CEO got lucky because of a careless fool.
