Hi. I mostly do frigate pvp. I fraps my fights. Sometimes I compile my fraps into videos.

This is one of those videos.

A lot of people flying laser ships in Minmatar/Amarr FW space these days, so I decided to bring out a Slasher to counter them. I also just finished training into missiles on this character, which allows me to give the TD rocket Condor a run for the first time.

I cringed a bit when you fought that slicer, talked about changing scripts and kept the range one by mistake and were poinltessly range tding him the rest of the fight at 500m, which made the fight super close instead of a free win.

Yeah, I expected you to notice that.

I've rewatched that moment in fraps several times and it does look like I clicked correctly, and the "script changing" animation happened, but it switched back to my original script for some reason. Doesn't matter, should have noticed it and just switched it again.

The rep + neut combo on that one Slasher, without a cap booster doesn't make sense to me, but nice video

No matter what you put in the utility high, its use is pretty situational. I used to fit a nos, which allows you almost perma-run your AAR, but I haven't found that ability to be useful in any fight I've ever had with a Slasher.

A neut is useful against things like a dual-rep Incursus or a dual-rep Tormentor, which would otherwise take much longer to kill. Same story against active-tanked Retributions or Enyos (they take FOREVER to kill otherwise). It's also pretty good against Executioners. They have webs and enough speed to break your orbit by double-clicking in space and heating their afterburner. Having the ability to neut them out makes the fight a lot easier.
