Also, CCP *should* make it so blocked people can't initiate a trade either. Likely just an oversight on their part.

What blows my mind is i blocked some idiot in jita trying to force scam me and then he is still able to open trade windows with me AND assign contracts to me...

WTF? So now we have online-bully-scamming/spamming?

and yes you can fairly easily avoid it, but really you shouldn't have to.

Only need the base definition, the rest is irrelevant. and no I don't believe that trade window spam is anything like those examples. But that shouldn't give permission to do it. And like you say, a GM ruling is really the only thing that matters here.

Truth is, this trade spam sounds annoying as hell, which to me is far worse than harassment.

@OP: leave the trade window open in a corner of the screen, should solve the problem

@CCP: disable trades from blocked characters, makes sense I'd say

Everyone's entitled to their opinion without needing to recalibrate to a single view. it's a game, not a police state.

So no, I don't see harassment in something the OP could have so easily taken control of.

I see a hugely annoying use of a mechanic, but the OP could have just undocked and avoided it.

Doesn't seem very harassing to me.

Very much this. Video games are a medium that you participate in 100% voluntarily.

Oh no. I've killed lots of other characters in a video game. Should I be arrested and tried under a RL criminal law?

Why should one internet lawyer definition apply and not another?

The simple answer is none of them apply. Only CCPs rulings apply within the context of the game, which is exactly where this was conducted. One character against another.

The OP could have even simply logged off if he/she didn't want to undock. Internet dictionary definitions have no application to what happens in New Eden. The whole basis of what we do in game has no bearing on any RL reality.

Blocking a character should also block trades I think. Moving to another station isn't a very good solution if you are a trader sitting in Jita 4-4.

Does CSPA affect trades?
