Custom Offices with 0% Taxes?

Hello there,
as the topic says, I've seen in high sec certain custom offices with 0% taxes.

Shouldn't it be at least 10% minus my custom expertise skill? (atm IV so it should be min 6% from default IB taxes)

Does it mean the pocos owners have decided to shut down the access by standing and therefore i'm not seeing even the IB base taxes anymore?

I hope you guys can help before I trash a command center :p

The Poco owner can set taxes to 0. So that means they won't take anything from you if you pull it out right now.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

In high sec even the owner set the taxes to 0%, everyone has 10% taxes from the default Interbus tax and when he/she click info will see at least this 10%.

Now my question was about the pocos that have 0% taxes when I click info on them, why is that?

Oh, I have no idea. I am ignorant of Empire Pocos.

I'm fairly certain that the 10% tax from interbus is on top of whatever tax is displayed on the show info.

Yesterday I imported 20.000 P1 on one of my planet, I paid 400.000, and the POCO showed me 10% taxes

If I run the maths 10% checks out ( 20000*400*0.1*0.5 = 400.000 )

- 0.1 is 10% taxes
- 0.5 because taxes are reduced by half on import

What is said in this topic sounds impossible, I would love to check this ingame.

I had the chance to speak to the owner and make some test with another nice person.

A POCO has an interface that shows, as baseline, a setting for corporate tax, which is the tax applyed to the people in your corp and only for them. There's no check box for this option, your corp will always be able to access it.

After you have a box titled as "Alliance tax": If you tick it you enable the access to your POCO also to your alliance, and you decide which tax they should have. If it's unticked, your alliance wont be able to access it.

In the end you have "Allow access by standing" with its selection box, sporting the 5 standing colors (Red, Orange, Grey, Light Blue, Dark Blue) and the option to deny access based on standing and/or set a specific taxation based on the standing as well.
If you untick the "Allow access by standing", people not in your corp or alliance wont be able to access it.
Random strangers are considered neutral for this matter.

If you cannot access the POCO, be it because you are not in the corp, alliance, or have an improper standing, you'll see 0% taxes even in High sec, as Interbus base taxation in high sec is not applyed on something you cannot access.

Now, and probably this post should be moved to the IDEAs forum, shouldn't it be better for the POCO to return the value "ACCESS DENIED" instead of "0%"? I'm not sure coding this would take a lot, unless it's some kind of legacy code hard to interact with, but surely it will improve the player experience.
