Unable to Update/Repair Singularity Install

Need a bit of help here. I've tried a few different things, but the errors I'm getting are too specific to find an answer for.

1. Tried updating Singularity using a Launcher shortcut. The Launcher won't open, I just get this error, which seems to refer to steamapi.pyd even though I don't use EVE through Steam. I have Steam installed however, but none of my EVE installations should touch it. (Full Log)

ImportError: MemoryLoadLibrary failed loading steamapi.pyd

2. Tried updating Singularity using a Repair Shortcut (using repair.exe --server=sisi) - this has always worked in the past. The repair starts to download files, then borks out with an error below: (Full log)

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'c:\\users\\username\\appdata\\local\\temp\\tmprvw75d_0.datapile'

If I try to create that file, it just errors out on a different filename. There are other temp datapile files in the directory which get created fine when I run the repair tool, so it's not a permissions issue.

Help?

Well crap.

Whatever I've done here has also broken my Tranquility installations with the same errors.

Done a few things that thankfully have somewhat fixed this all:

1. Reinstalled Steam as there was some kind of Steam API dependency missing, and Steam was suddenly causing issues too. Probably related. Don't know which program ate the other first. At least I didn't lose my Steam game installs.

2. Downloaded latest individual launcher from EVE forums. They seriously need a sticky or just a way to get these, as you never know what is the latest. Hopefully this post (which I have never seen before) has the latest: https://ccpcommunity.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202664365-Reinstalling-the-Launcher

3. Ran Tranquility Launcher, it patched properly. Tranquility now launches properly.

4. Ran Singularity Launcher. It's still giving me errors about having a pre-release version of the Launcher. I can't seem to get this to update, despite a repair now succeeding.

How do I manually update the Singularity launcher?

If I run the manual launcher install to the Singularity directory it works, but then it tries to patch via the Tranquility server.

I don't *think* you can. If I'm right it's because of the folder location. When you download a 'non pre-release' version of the launcher and fire it up, the first thing it will do is download the latest version, hence turning it to a 'pre-release' version, for SiSi at least.

I ran into a similar issue with the launcher[s] and lost several hours trying to fix them.

Now, my Tranquility and Singularity launchers have the same version [2.2.878305.] I can log in to Tranquility just fine. Singularity gives me a warning about the launcher being 'pre-release,' but still allows me to log in.

At this point, I'm afraid to touch it. It just works.
