Confirming that going to Activity Monitor and quitting wineserver does resolve the 'can't open launcher after game crash'.

But, still. Fix, por favor!

soooo.. You guys snuck this one in on me..

Titles are no longer viewable on info tab of pilots.

Its supposed to be not viewable to the public.. but I cannot even see my own titles on my own pilot info screen

Furthermore, Give me the damn option to turn it off!

We use our titles for rank, position and intimidation. We have nothing to hide from the general public, so just as awoxing is selectable, so too should be this bonkers security measure..
Thanks for the feedback, we've taken the decision to revert this change, more info found here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5710624#post5710624

I swapped the launcher as described here: https://ccpcommunity.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202664365-Reinstalling-the-Launcher to version 2.2.878305 Yesterday once somehow the launcher managed to start the game, but other than that:
- login works perfectly
- PLAY button remains disabled
- no update starts
- clearing the launcher cache doesn't change anything
I tried it on two different Macs with the same symptoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime reinstalled EVE - no luck with that either. The log file says:

Game crashes every time I click on browser link. Vary annoying cant even copy it and take it out of game to paste into a another browser. Also crashes if I just try to open the browser without using chat link.

No High setting for shadows so i'm REALLY cloaked. Can work with it but blah

Killing the wineserver tip helped! Saves on restarts.

## The Good:

- OMG Sound! So nice to have audio working reliably without Soundflower and custom driver hacks.
- Love the new Damage Control Icon.
- No patch problems.
- New sensor overlay adjustments are much improved.

## The Bad:

- Uh, wheres my ship? Gate and module cloaks _completely_ hide all ships i've tried. This is very disorienting. OS X 10.9.5 - GT 750M
- Really miss Anti-Aliasing.
- Weird rendering going on in fitting window ship previews. Many items are rendering in front of foreground objects. I noticed this same issue while checking out the SKINS dev blog post and dismissed it as some odd webGL bug, but its def happening both in Chrome and in game.

**UPDATE**
The way-too-cloaky cloak effect only happens when Shader Quality is set to Medium. Changing to Low or High brings it back.

Same here, do you also notice that the engine fire seems to flare up dramatically more than it used to, to the point where my ship looks like it has a huge ball of fire behind it not individual thrusters.

I also notice that my HUD, capacitor, armor, shield, structure --- is quite a bit darker, than the windows client, and the previous mac client.

Can confirm the cloaky bug.

For me it's happening on my AMD iMac that only shows Low and Medium (but no high) shader options.

My MacbookPro neither has the missing high shader setting problem, nor the cloaky bug.

I'm having the same issue. Shader options are only Low and Medium. No HIgh... which is fine. But I'd like to see this bug cleared up as well.

Confirmed. Not a huge issue for me. But I did notice it and I prefer them a little brighter.

Issue: Scan Map. The new map looks nice, but is having issues with my MacBook Pro.

I deploy my scanners and get the initial sig, however as I hone in and move my probes in, the sig strength disappears. The red dot is there, but i lose all data. It also appears all the red indication bubbles appear and disappear randomly. This makes playing the game difficult, as I cannot scan my way in or out of anything.

Are there any Mac users experiencing this issue?

Is there a fix planned?

Ran Luancher. Update downloaded. Launched EVE. No problem. Exited station, moved out into space. Launched IGB. EVE crashed. Had to force quit. Went to launcer, re-launched EVE. Nope. The "play" button went to "launching" and back to "play" but the game was not actually launched, or else it instantly crashed. Quit Launcher and re-tried. No joy. Logged out of Mac, logged back in. No joy. Deleted launcher cache. Program launched! Joy! Started IGB. EVE crashed. WTF, over?

Addendum: actually, I just noticed that the app does appear to be running - but there's no window. Since the icon for the IGB and the icon for the client are the same, I can't tell which one this is supposed to be. :-(

For whatever reason, my graphics options do not include a HIGH setting for Shader Quality so I can't test this. I tried setting it to LOW but it was like having my Rembrandt replaced by a stick figure drawing in crayon :(

Same problem no Anti Aliasing option available anymore on my iMac and now no ability to select graphics shader quality to high at all, only low or medium!?
I used to run Eve with max settings with excellent frame rate now I can't, as I have to set shader quality to low for this "cloak bug" so I can see my ships translucent cloak effect and now the game looks like junk with these graphic settings?( issue not apparent on MBP, only iMac)
Nice one I think you screwed it up royally this time.
Very dissappointing that we continue to pay for injected faults and multiple reinstalls everytime you realease a major update themse days.
This is all getting a little old this carry on.

Also worth adding is now when you open the in-game-browser it brings up another Eve.app instance in your dock for the same client. So it looks like you have two clients open at once instead of one..
It never used to behave like that when you use the IGB.

Oh no! After one day of normal launch, the same error appeared with the same error log. Anybody has a clue what is going on with the launcher?

I found something. When I use my iPhone 4G network via hotspot than it usually(!?) throws the error above. When I change to another network I can log in. The strange thing is that after logging in on the launcher I can switch back to my mobile hotspot and the game works just fine - so it is definitely not a port disabled by the mobile provider. Interesting...

Sounds exactly like my problem. I updated my support ticket with a bunch of dump files so hopefully they'll get around to examining it in a bit more detail. Still failing with latest update.

Hey Tawhiri,

I was having the same issue, (very annoying) I think I figured out what is going on. I believe that the new map is not showing an "echo" signal, aka when you get double of the same site and have to test both of them to find the real one.

When I've hit something like that, I've swapped over to the old map, and both red dots are there, while it's only one on the new map.

So my solution for right now is when something doesn't scan the first time, and I know that I'm on top of it, then I switch to the old map. And if the old map is not in your sidebar, check in your Neocom under the tabs.

(EDIT)
Also, make sure that your site location isn't disappearing behind a planet or asteroid belt marker, just had that happen to me now. Lol
