Piles of isk...

What next, I ask myself. Having purchased everything I need in the game, I now find myself amassing a pile of isk in my hangar. It just keeps on growing and growing, like the pot of porridge in the Hans Andersen fable.

I long for the days when I had a sense of having to work to achieve something, like mining for days on end in a cruiser to earn my first battleship, now with a hulk I can just chew roids at the rate of dozens per hour.

So as a vet who is a 'casual' player, with a mild addiction to the game as a pastime (as opposed seeing it as an alternative life 24/7)... where is the personal challenge in EVE these days?

Posting with my forum alt for obvious reasons. And no, you can't has my stuffs.

You sir are the unavoidable decline and death of EVE. (Me too)

EVE is a PvP game and nobody can be bothered or motivated to PvP.

The reason you and I have butt tons of ISK isn't because it's easy to get, it's because we see no reason to spend it.

The problem is you have chose to define your "needs" too modestly.

This is a personal character fault on your part.

How about solo Battleship PvP?

Of course, there is always the Roh Voleto PLEX Fund for Poor Children. I know the name could be better, but you don't actually have to be a poor child to contribute to my game time.

17 days old, I almost bought you one but I thought about it and asked, why do you need a navy geddon? Start by losing regular geddons, you will find they die just as quick.

Well, I struggle for money - you could always advise us "poor folk" on how to be rich like you...

IDK that you are entirely correct with your assessment

I started eve as a miner and moved up through what I viewed was the natural progression. I am now looking to PvP in the traditional sense, though I lack the experience or knowledge to do so well and my view of the risk-reward for blindly thrusting myself into FW (as a suicide tackle much as I had done in my early days of eve; no offense to the FW guys either) or the NBSI asshattery of piracy is poor. Also, I don't count high-sec Wardecs (IMHO they fall more under asshattery and piracy than what I think they were intended to which is why I believe CCP has essential signed off on the dec-shield) or dropping "1v1 frigs" cans in a trade hub as PVP.

I want to participate and "play eve the way it was intended" though it at times seems insurmountable for the little guy without becoming someones pet. I have made it through the border camps and "seen the wonders to behold" in 0.0, though if I pursue my desires to one day achieve Sov as well as have my very own "Chribba's Cottage"-style Outpost I will need to train skills for another 6-12 months to effectively be able to compete in 0.0 PvP or just bend over for someone who's already there (I don't mind waiting if that is what is needed, but I would rather be an equal instead of someone's *****). I know of several systems where I could drop a TCU right now if I wanted to, but to do so would be like 8th-grade class nerd going up to the 17y/o jock in his class and slapping him in the mouth.

Anyway, back to what I was saying

I'd wager that there are many players out there who feel the same as me, at least, I'm betting that there are more of them than most people think lurking in the crowd of carebears milling around high-sec.

I bet the OP made a few billion and suddenly feels like he's all rich and such, when what he actually has in wealth is meager at bets.

You should buy me exactly 21 PLEX with your wealth... because I can't afford to.

As a long term player (7 years now I think) I'd like to go to Fanfest for the first time and have all the fun....and for 21 PLEX I can do it all......Everything!

I'll cover cost of flight, accommodation and spends, you just pay me into everything with PLEX from your huge piles....and if you're there I'll get you a beer.... deal? Blink

Why not buy your spacefriends some nice surprise slightly-late Christmas pressies? I was left with approximately 20m isk in the whole world yesterday after buying gifts, totally worth it.

Way, way back in mining days I got irritated at being canflipped all the time and decided to fight back. That turned into an extended stint with the Gallente militia, and all my gameplay since has revolved around turning ISK into killmails.

Fit out lots of alpha battleships and gank random industrials in Jita. Sow some chaos. Then make more isk while you get your sec status back up.

Also, randomly gift isk to newer players who you see doing cool stuff and NOT begging for a handout.

Mining is still PvP, unless the others are bots (plausible I guess).

To OP: you could give it away, you could use a large number of T2 BS to gank people who undock at EFA station in Amarr (not Jita cause its to cliche), you could try to take over all the space owned by Goons... good ways to spend that isk.
