TLDR: I hate it , and I´m an amateur modder and I don´t see it as the "amazing" thing valve has been trying to shove down our throats for Skyrim.

Nothing in that video should come as a surprise to anyone with a minimal grasp on human nature.

As soon as something is worth money, some people will steal, cheat, scam and do whatever it takes for the money. Specially if they face no consequences and what they're stealing is essentilaly impossible to protect.

In the long run, this will just harm the modding scene, specially once game developers figure a way to charge money to the people who is earning money by modifying their IP.

I myself own no console and never will so I guess am am part of the PC-faction in all this but to be honest, the only thing more stupid than this whole "paid Mods"-mess was the almost worship-like "GabeN is God"-thing that is going on for a while now. All the more so coming from a self-styled "Master Race".
They are certainly willing to follow a Führer....

I almost wish Steam would not have given in as that would mean at least a slight chance those Steam fanboys would finally wake up and realize Steam is in for the money, just like everyone else, period.
As it is, no doubt we will be back at "PC Master Race worships Lord GabeN" in no time at all with nothing learned.... until the next time Steam tries to milk its customers (with more subtlety, THEY probably WILL learn).
