Suggestion for the Orthrus

I don't think orthrus needs any nerfs, in any scenario where it can't kill its prey in one reload it is likely to fail. Just because it will wreck figates it doesn't mean it is OP. It is what it's good at, it cant do everything. And there certainly are hard counters.

I lol'd. Is the Orthrus the new T3, all the forum warriors are demonizing it?

It does 447 DPS with two BCU and faction missiles in RLMLs, any blaster boat will top that damage. It won't match the range, but that's because they're blasters.

Point range helps keep them from escaping, missile velocity means the missiles can catch drones that go 4km/s

Probably the part where it has very fast missiles for the drones and a decently long point to keep the drone boat locked down even at their extended-ish engagement ranges.

Except FoFs only go after the closest target, so you can "burn" through the limited RLML capacity by playing yo-yo with your drones.

A Gila or anything with a drone durability bonus is fairly effective. An Orthrus only has 20 volleys.

Was specifically about juggling drones against the rlml on an orthrus. Did up a 100mn beamtasm on osmium set up as a counter for hull cost on the orthrus

Hey if I would fight an Orthrus I can do it in a regular 10mn ab fit but if we are talking cheap, my Moa can do it too.
