Other UK Virginmedia ISP, cant reach tq?

Anyone else in the UK having this issue?

not a firewall issue "checked"


My connection has no clue about routes that could reach TQ's IP ??? w00t?

I know it can't be CCP and must be outside forces...

As a person from the UK nothing would please me more than london being wiped out by a small tactical nuke, the rest of the UK would benefit significantly.

As for the new Princess... Just what we need, another member of the Royal Family that will sponge off the system their entire lives and likely never have any significant input.

Have had similar issues with Virgin, having a friend who works there I have been told that in the main it is down to the local node thingimijig on your street being massively over subscribed and that when a new customer is connected your connection is then moved down with the new one taking your existing spot/place on the panel.
Not a teckie but I do know that the guy knows what he is talking about as he has come out and accessed the thingimijig and moved my connection to a more favourable place on a few occasions.

Virginmedia is notorious for splitting cables.

I am literally 15m away from the green box on the street. I pay for 10mbit and frequently get 1/4 of that.
The technician that came over to "fix" it said whoever set it up is a "***ing idiot" and is not going to bother redoing it.

Thing is, all ISPs suck in London.

I did a ping and tracert following your post and got the same stuff.

i have full speed of my broadband

this is not a speed issue

this is a routing issue that my isp has, they do not know how to reach tq public ip
