Combat Signatures disappearing prematurely

Was doing a 4/10 DED, and had to warp out in the middle of the last room. Having not bookmarked the site (or dropped MTU) because usually the signature doesn't disappear until you actually finish the site, like shooting the elite mob/structure that contains the loot of the site.
I warped out because I got neuted out (Blood Raiders), and the signature was gone and I lost a half-done site. And no, no one else was in there.

Also had a Blood Watch's signature disappear before I had even triggered the final spawn. The site was still there and I completed it just fine, but the signature was gone before it was completed
