Path of Aegis Militia

Capsuleers. Eggers. Unbound. The Scourge of New Eden. This twisted Unlife is abomination before God, an existence devoted to destruction, in most cases. We are damned by our defiance of the Inherent Laws of Life and Death.

However, our hubris need not be wasted. We faithful men and women of God must seek to make this sacrilege and sacrifice have value.

We must embrace these Terrible Gifts, these Necessary Machinations, to bring Terror to the monsters that roam our world, to visit upon them the very same miseries they would seek to inflict upon the countless billions of faithful across the vast Holy Greater Amarria. Be they Sleepers, Drifters, Sanshas, Tribals, Pirates, or our 'fellow' Unbound.

To this end we seek to establish a greater and more perfect Brotherhood, to make the storied Aegis Militia more then merely an alliance but a True Order, bound in word and deed.

To those who hear this calling, take up now the Mantle of Protector. Fly Strong in the name of the Innocent. Let us gather under one Banner of Righteousness, that our combined might may protect those who need it most desperately. Let us become more then selfish, degenerate immortals but instead rise up as Paragons of Justice in an Age of Shadow.

- The Path of The Aegis Militia

Always keep your word and honor your agreements.
Never show cowardice. Overcome your fears.
Duty comes before personal matters.
Treat fairly and equitably with those of station. Conversely, the dishonorable are beneath your contempt.
Always repay your debts.
Support your comrades-at-arms in all things, except where they counsel treachery.
Defend Innocents on the planets below at all costs, even to true Death.

- The Vow

I pledge myself, from now and forever, to the Holy Militia, Order of the Shield. I declare to take freely and solemnly this oath of Obedience and Fraternity.
I pledge my sword, my forces, my life and all that I hold to the cause, defense, honor and further knowledge of the Aegis Militia and my companions in arms; and to the defense of the domains of our forefathers, given to our guidance by Almighty God.

I shall help my Brothers, my Sisters, their children, and their widows, with my sword, my counsel, my means, my wealth, and everything in my power.

Finally, barring rules dictated by the Order, to conform to the Laws and Customs of the countries in which I may reside, to fulfill my duties of citizen, and to be loyal in those countries which entertain relations with my Order.

This oath I pronounce loudly before the members present here, before my Ancestors who watch over me, and The Eternal Lord who Guides me. May it be so forever and ever.

Amen.

Darkness is more then absence of light, it is ignorance and corruption. I will be the Bulwark from such things that you may live in the light. Pray so my arms do not grow weary and my footing remain sure.

If you are brave, join me in the dark.

Republic citizens equated with criminals, zombies, wanton killers and the like? Wow, I have no words.

The war can provoke the most zealous among us to harsh words... That said, if someone never started the war, the reasons for bitter sentiment might not exist as strongly as they do now.

Do not worry though, I do not hold the Elder Fleet directly at your feet, Ms. Rella. Just at the feet of people you continue to apologize for and sympathize with.

Many a long-lived organization has come to these comm channels to celebrate a milestone, to brag of the palpable victory that is surviving this long in a cluster that destroys so many collectives.

The Aegis Miltia decides upon a different approach.

AM's history is incredible, but it has existed in many iterations. It was Born in Chaos (GH-SC Heist), Raised in Conflict (The Blood Wars), Came of Age in Controversy (The Tetrimon Saga), Rose in Strength (Sovholding Q-6LG1 Constellation), and Bitter Defeat (The Fall of Providence).

Despite all of this, the latest generations of AM, and the leaders appointed over it, have not been nearly as successful in the defense of the Empire and her People.

This Changes Now.

So, let the banners unfurl, let the brass trumpets sing..
but do not say unto Amarr
THE AEGIS MILITIA IS 10 YEARS OLD.

Instead, tell the people that
THE AEGIS MILITIA LIVES ANEW.

Fortunately, the original post did not specifically call out Blood Raiders as enemies, which is good, because Blood Raiders are also the Chosen People of God, with whom the Empire will one day form an invincible Reunited Amarr-Blood Raider Empire-Covenant, against whom all the cluster shall crumble. Amen. Amarr Victor.

You are so dumb.

Amarr Victor. And congratulations.

But with all due respect my old friend, I've heard this song before. Hell, I've helped sing this song on occasion.

But over the past five years, the Empire has failed the People of Khanid, the People of Amarr, God's Chosen. Sansha's Nation strikes at will at the jewels in the crown of the Empress. All the old enemies of the Empire exist much as they have been.

Now Seekers and Drifters, the curse of the Jove fly with impunity over the world that the Scriptures say belongs to the people called Amarr. My sources report that over the last forty eight hours, nearly a dozen Capsuleer ships and dozens of civilian ships have been lost to them. Emergency response teams have found no evidence of survivors sparking fears passengers and crews have been taken by the Drifters.

Words must be paired with action, if they are to fill the soul.

Like an annoying fly one cannot swat, you buzz around the IGS trying to band wagon on anything remotely Amarrian. When are you going to admit you're feeling a little lonely being the outcast, shamed heretic that you are?

If I may, my lord... The Theology Council has yet to establish a solid position on the status of Capsuleers... Isn't it a bit premature to cast us all as abominations?

Still, my congratulations to you and yours for this anniversary of AM.

It's ok Pilot Shutaq I don't hold you directly responsible for the current state of affairs or the zealotry of those you call brothers and sisters either. After all if your people had never attacked, occupied and enslaved us in the first place there would have never been an Elder Fleet. Funny how the circle of blame game is played, isn't it?

Ave Brother. It is always encouraging to hear a renewed sense of dedication for our cause from a fellow capsuleer. However I must say, words may be pleasing to the ears but they carry no weight. Our actions are what define us and only the weight of those actions will make us worthy of God's glory and our righteous place in his light. The war burns on and enemies are all around us, many of which we may only vaguely be aware. The future is uncertain and the Empire is under threat. I implore you to demonstrate your devotion to Empire and God on the fields of battle and not only on comm channels shared with holo-novel drama and drivel. That said I'm sure you and your associates will not disappoint.

So long as your weapons stay pointed in the right direction, then this is announcement is broadly speaking a good thing, I am not a fan of the reactionary and religious tone used here, but ultimately rhetoric doesn't mean as much as whose ships are exploding.
