Hi there, not sure if this is in the right place.

I am having trouble with my eve client. Every time I try to load eve after logging in by hitting play, nothing acturly happens. It doesn't bring up the window at all. Very frustrating. Anyone got any ideas?

Press Crtl+Shift+Esc together and check if eve is running in processes.
If you have more then one, kill them all by ending the process.

Try again with the eve icon.
If still nothing kill the process again.
Perhaps restart your PC/MAC/Laptop and try again.
If still no luck check if other games open. If they do run the eve repair tool.
Ensure you have no virus as well if all these fail.

Edit:
Eve can take a while to load after hitting play depending on your hard drive speed. Laptops for example always take a bit longer.
If you do the Crtl+Shift+Esc move again, in Windows 8 you can see the data speed of your HDD/SSD see if its doing anything.

Thank you Neodell. I have tried all of the above, even re-installing Eve onto my PC. Non off it works. I have only had this problem since the new update. It ran perfectly fine before then.

ah, OK.
There are still a few options.

1) Try logging in by using the eve icon in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin (default location)
1b - Could be worth clearing your eve settings or cache, perhaps something has screwed up
2) Perform a system restore to the day before the update and check for windows/graphics updates then trying to run eve again
3) If the above doesn't work does your PC run other games OK? have you noticed any choppy performance lately? or the HDD working harder then normal
4) if the PC seems fine and is up-to-date file a bug report to CCP with your PC spec and other details, more info can be found on here somewhere I think

I have had a similar issue some time ago but it was resolved with the ending process tactic and trying again.

Let me know how it goes :)

Happened to me earlier, restarting my computer fixed it.

Grrr.
