Ranking System for Moving Items to Market

So I'm thinking about moving items to market in Null, and I was looking for an equation to "rank" items to move in terms of desirability.

The formula I was thinking about using (using Jita metrics averaged out over the past week or month) was "Rank" = Sell Price * Trade Volume / Size (m3).

I was also considering adding an exponent (.5-.8ish) to Trade Volume to deemphasize it a bit: which would make the new formula something like "Rank" = Sell Price * (Trade Volume) ^ (.7) / Size (m3)

Does that sound about right or am I oversimplifying the issue? Any other thoughts or tips?

i posted a thread a while back doing a similar thing here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5666921#post5666921

For you i would personally use something like "Rank" = (pureProfit*profitMargin) * (Trade Volume) ^ (.7) / Size (m3)

As sell price gives you no idea about profit or margin so you could end up importing things you would make a loss on.
