quafe megathron honest price was 1.5 2 . Then it got to 3b when it was anounced it will be permanent . Rest is indeed speculation .

Rorqual ore was 150 mill , which is a honest price considering its still sold in collector edition . Tash Murkon magnate same story as rorqual .

Didnt even realised plex went up :| im a bad trader

Break-even is at 17 mil. Blink

Yikes you overpaid. We were buying hand-over-fist for 8 to 10 million per BPC last week. And I know of others with 10,000+, I'm honestly surprised the market has held up this well and am exiting my positions as fast as possible. I may keep a few dozen in case the price ever rises towards the 'expected' LP value, but I'm not holding my breath.

Bought 5 skins Police Pursuit Comet for 21-22 in Jita, sold 4 of them in Dodixie for 27.9.
Got one for free + some bonus on top of it. Cool

10% PLEX sale announced for the weekend, will be interesting to see if that shocks the PLEX/SKIN markets.

I'm rather laughing at the psyches of speculators who are wetting their diapers here and realizing the idea that CCP may quickly come to the conclusion that they've charged FAAAR too much for these skins and have decided to cut the AUR prices drastically.

There isn't a massive rush on these because they are so damned expensive.
One could spend a hundred bucks and only have a small portion of their hanger decked out.

I mean think about it...really think about it.

Hopefully...this doesn't turn out to be the worst disaster of a trade in the history of your trading career and a total trainwreck for the peeps who've put real $$$ in. Big smile

You didn't buy in time did ya?

Personally I am surprised at the high turnover rate of the old skins after the patch, which is around 40-50 per day for many. Some of them such as Omen Kador doubled in price in the past 24 hours. Looks like it will be weeks, not months, before they are close to equlibrium price :)

The market for SKINs is weird. I think the two biggest pools of demand are speculators with different information/views trading between one another and a small number of price-insensitive pilots buying shiny SKINs. Perhaps demand will be steady over time but not apparent compared to the supply rush on launch day - we'll see.

For anybody who missed it, here's today's drama I've seen on SKINs (from reddit):

For example, you can now on TQ type in Golem and auto-link it - it'll show all of the "available" SKINs. Seems like we got a somewhat limited Caldari/Minmatar batch. Blink CCP did mention that in the Dev blog.

PLEX for Good just announced - so this weekend will see 10% PLEX sales, PLEX -> Aurum -> SKIN conversion demand, and PLEX for Good demand all pushing and pulling on PLEX prices.

Interesting times!

Markets are murky, but I'd place a lot of money on that being manipulation/hording and not broad demand (either for investment or for use).

I was actually just trolling in my previous post. I do enjoy shaking up the weak hands. Lol

Honestly I have a sneaking suspicion that CCP will be bringing more value to current skins that people have purchased then CCP has let on. CCP has alluded to some things in earlier dev blogs and these ideas are being discussed in other threads.

There is only one scenario where prices start heading towards the ISK:AUR exhange rate.

Either that one scenario, or price cuts across the board on existing collections. Although, that one scenario and price cuts simultaneously could also be an option... Who dares - wins moment for CCP. Smile

I have no doubt whatsoever that prices will start trending upwards. Many of these are trading at 1/10th or below the AUR conversion rates for no other reason than the fear of inexperienced traders. I assure you there is a medium between current prices and the exorbitant prices that CCP is currently charging. In the meantime I am more than happy to continue taking the *right ships off your hands. Pirate

Without that one scenario taking place, I don't see frigates rising and genuinely shedding inventory above the 100 mil mark. Smile

Cruisers appear to be in a good place with 120-160 p/u also. Any higher and demand could possibly dry out, and then they'll be moving at singular daily volumes for the price of the exchange rate - whether that is indeed a favourable exchange for one, who wishes to see them up there - I am not sure. Smile

CCP monitors everything and takes most diligent notes - just as they had done, when we were allotting particular preferance to certain items, which I suspect ended up costing the most.

The more one bought (& sold) of a certain Edition during the Pilot program, the higher the chances of the final Aur price being settled in your favour, but come release the same supply would then crash the markets. Smile

I'm impartial to the red/green colours of the Caldari ones - both are equally horrible. P

The bug certainly introduced new demand for skins as well. Personally, I have consumed 5 skins I wouldn't have otherwise, just to check out the possibilities. Downtime is over and this still works, so it seems that this will last at least another day if not two.

It also looks like investing in the buddy invite Catalysts was indeed a good idea , thanks for the heads up. ;)
